Centerville Junior High provides a range of general academic programs to more than 900 students in grades seven and eight. It conducts classes in English, math, social science, special education, language arts and science. The school employs over 40 teachers. It also provides lessons in music and gifted and talented education. The school operates a parent-teacher-student association that conducts several fundraising events and programs. It maintains a library that stocks books and periodicals, as well as maintains computers. In addition, the school offers several sports programs. Centerville Junior High is a part of the Fremont Unified School District, which serves nearly 30,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12.
