20 year happy customer

I have been using Fosters for 20 years. I have referred many friends and family and will continue to do so! It is amazing to read some of the reviews. Fosters is very loyal to their customers, I have experienced there company for cleaning service and unfortunetly Water Extraction Service. Not only have they continued to keep my carpets looking new, they also took care of all my needs when my home flooded after being away for 2 days. The headace of a disaster in the home was much easier with Fosters taking care of everything. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Fosters to anyone who appriciates a good reliable loyal company.

Rude, Offensive, Hateful. DO NOT USE THESE IDIOTS

My scheduled appointment was for this Saturday by Steve. A confirmation call was made the day before, I responded and talked with their manager Roger who said he would let them know I confirmed and they would arrive promptly for my appointment. 40 Minutes into my appointment, no calls no one showing up, I call and get Michael who promptly started usining obscene vulgar words with me because according to him, I did not confirm my appointment and was a F***ing B***ch who needed to be put in her place. Needless to say I was shocked beyond words and couldn't get a work in edge wise to explain I did call. Every obsenity you could imagine was used cause he was gonna "teach me a thing or two on how to treat people"...OMG I was in shock, asked for the person in charge and was told he was the guy. Next thing I know Steve came on the line, accused me of abusing his guys and said I was not going to have my carpets serviced because he was afraid of how I was going to treat his guys and hung up on me.

What a bunch of FREAKING LOSERS AND LIARS.

Yes I was crying, shaking and completely in disbelief that these morons would treat a potential customer with such little disregard and the language they used was completely uncalled for ABUSIVE and uneducated would be what I call the people who work for this company. I wonder if the Owners know how terrible they treat people.

unscrupulous, incompetent, money hungry

Here is my story:

-I live in fremont, and I am a novice when it comes to construction.

-i had a water leak from the roof. so called these guys out one night.

-these people came in



1. They did not want to use booties (When I told them to remove shoes, one guy responded "that is not going to happen dude"). Needless to say, they ruined my carpet..



2. I wanted them to cut open the ceiling to check where the leak originated from. Instead they started blowing air with some holes. I asked them why they are doing this since they are going to

cut out the ceiling anyway. the guy responded "the insurance company likes us to follow procedures like this" Later on, they could not find where the water was flowing from since the air

they blew dried out the water stains.

-when I talked to the insurance adjuster, he said that there are no such procedures. So clearly, these guys were upto just cheating me.



3. They would not cut out the ceiling in one shot. They would cut out a small portion (about 2 ft X 2 ft) and then, another guy would come in to inspect 3 hours later.

This guy would say "have them cut out the ceiling another 3 feet" and just go away. The cutting crew would show up again and start cutting. The whole process took them about 3 - 4 days.

-needless to say, they charged me for every visit these people came into my house. The visits are calculated with a 4 hour minimum. the clock starts when they start from their location and ends when they report

back at their location.

-they also messed up my nice wooden floor by dropping wrenches and saws on it.

-at one point, they wanted to rip out the stucco, and other fixtures. This is when I understood they had no interest in fixing the problem. They just wanted to rip out stuff

so that they could charge me for it.

-They ended up charging me a few thousand dollars for what they had done. Going back, I realized that all they had done was to put a few blowers around the room.

they did not find (or attempt to find) the cause of the water leak.

-they wanted another $4000 to continue to find the root cause of the problem. That is when I decided to fire them.



I strongly suggest you stay away from Fosters since they are incompetent, money-hungry, unscrupulous cheats.

I have used other carpet cleaners before and I thought my carpet was clean. After Foster's came out and cleaned my carpet I discovered what clean really is! The guy that showed up took his time and spent extra time on a few areas that had spots. My carpet looks new again. I will only use Fosters in the future

Couldn't ask for a better response!

We recently came home from vacation to discover that our second floor toilet had overflowed sometime during our absence. We had significant water damage in our home, the water even leaked through the cleaning onto the floor below. We called Foster���s; they were there in less than an hour! The owner, Jerry, spoke to us personally and advised of what work needed to be done and why. He also explained our rights to us in regards to our insurance company; insurance companies often want to push their own emergency response companies on their insured. They give these companies their business and in return these companies give them reduced rates, but to make up their profit they cut corners in the customer���s home. We insisted on Foster���s, we wanted to make sure we got the best quality of work possible, and that is just what Foster���s provided us. They communicated with us on a daily basis to keep us updated of the progress they were making in our home. All the technicians that came to our home were very professional and knowledgeable. The people we spoke to on the phone were always willing to take the time to explain everything being done in our home. Calling Foster���s was the best call we could have made. Our home has been restored to better than what it was before the water damage. I wouldn���t wish a water damage on anyone but if one does happen I would definitely recommend that Foster���s be the first call.
