Samsung referred me to Tekniton when my 3 yr old Samsung refrigerator/freezer was making loud noises when I opened the refrigerator door. Tekniton said they would come out for $90.00 and based on the problem I described the total service call would be just under $300. I thought I could get the work done for less so I called Van Deutch Appliance Repair and another San Diego based repair service both of whom said, Based on when the sound occurs and what it sounds like, it s probably caused by ice build up. Defrost the entire unit for 8 hours and it should work just fine. And YES it did. They saved me $300 or more that Tekniton may have ended up charging me. I would avoid Tekniton like the plague.
