We are your hosts: the Marstons. We took over Wolf Ridge Cottages in the spring of 2004 from the Allie Family, who owned the property for almost 50 years. Wolf Ridge Cottages has been a fixture on the Wolf River in Fremont for over 50 years. Built in the 1940s, this small group of cottages serves fishermen and vacationing families from April to the end of October each year. We are located on the Wolf River just south of Partridge Lake. The Wolf River offers many different kinds of recreation including swimming, water skiing (The Webfooters, Fremont's very own water ski team, perform shows every Wed. & Sun. night), tubing, a nearby public beach, and, of course, fishing or you can spend a lazy day by the river with a good book. The Village of Fremont is known as the White Bass Capital of the World. The White Bass come to Fremont every year in May to spawn and produce some of the best fishing of the year; with no daily catch limit it is not uncommon to come home with over 100 fish in a day. There are also many other fish species in the area including walleye, catfish, northern pike, bluegill, and many more. Fremont's night life is among the best on the river and with several fine restaurants and taverns offering boat parking, you can park your car when you arrive and not use it again until you leave. Some of our guests even choose to make the trek to Fremont by boat, leaving their cars in Oshkosh and heading north up the Wolf River, but please let us know if this is your plan as boat parking at Wolf Ridge is limited.
