6/21/2012 Recently used them and paid them for service and was told that I had to also pay labor cost up front so that they can order the parts for my washer to ensure that I will stay with them and not go elsewhere while the part is being order.
Well, two months later, and no parts, no service, no return calls...excuses over and over and was told owner is out of town for now going on two months
Nicole-staff at the office is useless and helpless-don't even know if she is getting paid for all of us customers calling in frustrating and ripped off...
DO NOT USE THEM!!! DJ is one of their techs that came out and he is also not returning any phone calls.

Suing them, Donna Deegan, Deegan's Appliance, et al, in small claims for money back and am hoping to get some other victims to come forth to sue, be witnesses, or confirm, etc.

Don't use them. They took my $ in early July. Have not seen or heard from them since. No one answers the phone at the business. Their voicemail is so full you can't leave a message. I heard the owner was trying to sell since he and his wife opened a small used/new children's store in Cayucos. Tried calling the business in Cayucos and just get an answering machine with no return phone calls. These people are unethical and lack integrity.

These people have no idea what they're doing!!!

They will destroy your unit and keep it in a never ending loop of ordering a part. Resulting in your warranty not allowing a replacent indefinatly.

If there was a lower star than 1 i would give it, Deegan's is the worst. Lowes should never have contracted them for repairs on warrenty issues. 4 weeks in to a simple repair i figured out in one day online. Even after the error code flashed right in front of them they still installed the wrong part. 3 out of 4 times they came to my residence they installed the wrong part after numerous times telling them what i found out online turn out to be the correct repair. They kept brushing me off. Never ever use them demand a purchase from Lowes to change there repair service company.

We have used Deegan's Applianc...

We have used Deegan's Appliance over the years to fix our washing machines, dryers and refridgerators. Recently our freezer started leaking. We called Deegan's by the next day it was fixed and is still working perfectly! I would recommend Deegan's Appliance to anyone (and have).

I have had several appliance i...

I have had several appliance issues over the past 10 years and with out question each and everytime I call Deegan's Appliance. They have fixed our fridge, washer, dryers, microwave and dishwasher. They always arrive on time and treat us in a professional and friendly manner. I completely recommend Deegan's Appliance and would use no other company!

I have been using Deegan's Appliance as my ONLY appliance repair company for approximately 15 years. They have repaired refrigerators, washers, dryers, microwaves and garbage disposals for me -- always to my satisfaction.

This company is horrible. Our washing machine went out 2 weeks ago. Called our warranty company and they sent out these yahoo's. The tech came out and said it was a simple part to be replaced and they would have it fixed in 3-5 days. I called 3 days later to check on the part delivery and their office told me that had not ordered the part yet. They told me another 3 -5 days. Finally they came out to replace the part and they had ordered the wrong part(idiots). I called the next day to talk to the tech because he told me that he would call me back the next morning to give me a heads up on how long to get the part. Noone had ordered the other part and they would have to send out the tech to confirm the part that he confirmed the day prior(idiots, again). They told me another 3-5 days. Meanwhile, I have called the office to talk to the supervisor 4 seperate times and she refuses to call anyone back. This place is a joke.

Worst Ever

They put in a propane stove wrong. Didn't show up to fix it on scheduled dates. Finally, another company fixed it and could not believe the terrible work. A friend just told me she bought an appliance and the store sent a repair man that didn't show up. I said, please don't tell me ithe repair man is fromDeegans. It was. Don't go there, it is a terrible experience, esepecially if you have to talk to the owner.

Best service ever

They responded to my call for repair on my dryer the same day and did not charge any extra. The technician explained the problem in terms that I understood and provided a reasonable estimate. Returned to complete the repair the next day. Dryer runs perfect.

How I wish we had read the other reviews about Deegan's before we took our slide-in oven there; We could've saved time, money, and loads of stress! We had been told by our local appliance repairman that the part needed to fix our malfunctioning oven had been discontinued, and we would be best off junking it and buying a new oven (which we ended up having to do anyway.) My husband wanted a second opinion, so he called Deegan's and they assured us that they could find the replacement part and have the oven fixed in just a few days. Taking their word, we lugged the oven to Deegan's (an hour from our house), and had to pay $40 up front just for them to look at it. We told them that we needed to have the oven back in time to cook Thanksgiving dinner (two weeks away) and they promised they would have it ready in just a few days. When it wasn't ready as promised, they told us that they had received the wrong part. Then we were told we had to pay an extra fee for them to expedite shipment of the correct part, so that was charged to our credit card. We were then told that the oven would be ready "Friday, or Monday at the latest" (Monday being the Monday before Thanksgiving). They did not call back on either Friday or Monday. Finally I called Deegan's Monday afternoon, and they told us the part had "just arrived" and would be installed the next day. When I called back on Tuesday, they told me that their repairman was "really busy" so the repair would not be done until the next day...the day before Thanksgiving! At this point, I went ballistic on the phone and told them we were getting ready for out-of-town guests and could not pick up the oven on Wednesday, that it had already been two weeks since we took our oven in, and they had better fix it that day. The person I talked to put me on hold, then came back and said that they could have the oven ready that afternoon. That afternoon, they called to inform us that they had installed the new part, but "it didn't work". So the day before Thanksgiving, we had to go shopping for a new oven. They did refund the credit card charge for shipping the part, but we were still out the $40 for their "diagnosis". This company is unreliable and incompetent. I would not recommend them to anybody. If you need to have an appliance repaired, save yourself time, money, and grief, and do NOT take your appliance to Deegan's!!

Deegan's sucks

I had a simple problem to fix. My oven glass door broke and needed to be replaced. The tech ordered the wrong part, incorrectly installed it and then tried to convince my husband it was ok.

I took one look at it and knew it was wrong and looked like crap.

Then I had to wait to have the tech come out and say "yip" looks wrong. Waited to get new part replaced and have been waiting ever since. This started six months ago. I have had to call several times and the manager still will not speak to me. If i had to again I would have gone with another company for sure.

I am glad it wasnt a major problem, they are clearly not well organized, and technicians there are idiots. The manager/owner Donna needs to get a clue.

Not very professional!!

This company ...

1.)Orders wrong parts

Took almost 2 weeks to do what could have been done in 3 days had they ordered the correct part.

2.) Broke my appliance

which was a contribution to the delayed time.

I lost hundred's of dollars in food, not to mention the cost of eating out while waiting for repair. My kitchen looked torn apart as I had to have towels surrounding my appliance so that the water wouldn't ruin my floors.

I think better communication between employees and taking a better look at appliances would help out tremendously in this situation.

Would not recommend at all!
