Provided by YP.comI had a Great experience here at Advanced Career Institute. The staff was great, equipment was great, all the questions I asked were answered. When I requested something (i.e. more ally dock time, more drive time, etc.), I received it... Great Job Advanced, this was a very good school. I will definitely be recommending this school to my buddies.

Provided by YP.comI had a great experience at Advanced Career Institute. The instructors were all great people, and were all very patient. Advanced walked me through everything step-by-step, and even worked with my schedule. There were some areas I was having a hard time with, and Advanced Career Institute allowed me to come in and work 1-on-1 with an instructor. From going to this school, I can honestly say that this school really cares about their students. They go above-and-beyond, to make sure you succeed. Thank you so much to all the staff at Advanced Career Institute. You have ALL helped me in such a great way, and I really appreciate what you guys have done for me.

Provided by YP.comI would like to say that Advanced Career Institute is an AWESOME school. The staff at this school were all very friendly, and helped me out whenever I had a question. The instructors at Advanced Career Institute were also all very good. The classroom instructor took his time with all of us in classroom, which allowed me to pass my first test, on the first try. The lab instructors also spent a lot of quality time with me. Because of all the wonderful lab instructors, I was also able to pass my final test on my first try. This school is definitely tops, and they really make you feel like part of their team. Thank you very much Advanced Career Institute for doing such a great job, I will definitely be telling my friends about your school. Anybody that needs to get their CDL should definitely come to Advanced.

Thank you so much Advanced for all your help. I truly appreciate it, and will be recommending your school.

Provided by YP.comThe training at Advanced Career Institute was great. My instructors were great, I got my Class A. permit when I was supposed to, passed my DMV drive test on the first try. Besides the great training, I also got to haul live freight loads. My experience at Advanced Career Institute was one that I would highly recommend. I took the (20) week program, and am glad I did. Because of the experience I received from my instructors, The great Job placement they offered, I'm going to work for a freight company just (3) days after getting my license. Thanks again Advanced Career Institute for helping me & many others out. -Gabriel Soto-

Provided by YP.comI just graduated from Advanced Career Institute on 4/26/13, and was very pleased with their training. I really liked the classroom work with Uncle Dan, and really enjoyed working with my driving instructor Scott. Advanced Career Institute has a great setup, and it allowed me to pass my DMV test on my very first try. I graduated on Friday, and now I'm lined up with a job.... Thank you very much Advanced for doing such a GREAT JOB!!!! I will definitely recommend your school. Keep up the good work.

Provided by YP.comThis school is terrible! They take on more students than they can handle. They say they have small classes but there were 12 to 15 students waiting for one truck so in course of an 8hr day you accomplish very little so very few students finish within 4 weeks. There instructors are rude and disrespectful. Kelly and Ray are horrible instructors. When a student makes a mistake they get pissed off and talk to you like you are an idiot. Joe the recruiter would be a great used car salesmen.I switched over to United trucking school and so far I'm very happy with this school.

Provided by YPmobileFirst of all, i recently recieved my class A going to this school. The staff were great and helpful anwered any quetions, or concerns you had. They give you all the proper miterials you need to pass your written test for your permit. They give you more than enough time to study or i studied at home as well cuz i really wanted it. Once you pass your written test the first week they give you a small packet that is more than enough to pass your air brakes, incab, and pre-trip inspections, again study if you really want it, ask quetions and you will be answerd. During studing you will be doing skills and possibly drives take advantage of your turn and listen to your instructer, you dont listen, you dont learn, you will be going on drives, you should be able to "get the concept" if not ask for more time it doest hurt. Overall Aci helps you get your class A. They dont hold your hand for months and years so i recomend this school and they work with your schedule.

Provided by YP.comGreat experience going to ACI. Staff was helpful, instructors were great and have a lot of job experience to help you learn. I liked the family atmosphere. Checked out other schools but ACI was the most professional and the only school that has a job placement department. I didn't want to just get a license, I wanted to use my license and get a job and the student services department helped out. Great school, check these guys out!

Provided by YP.comThe training at Advanced was great…more than I could ask for. These guys are professionals and really know what they are doing. My training program was set for 6 weeks but I was ready to go, tested and received my Class A license during my 5th week of school. Before coming to school, I talked to reps from different trucking companies and Swift stated, “none of ACI students had failed their company driving test when coming in for initial employment” which is why I chose to come here. I worked with Kevin in the student services office for job placement and received acceptance letters from multiple companies (Werner, Swift, Covenant, CRST) before completing my training and went to right to work with Werner after graduating. I definitely recommend this school for anyone looking to get a class A license.
Thanks.

Provided by YP.comFirst thing is the school is over $5000 unless you get stuck in their program with CRST. CRST will pay for the school and then you have to drive with them for at least 6months. They pay you 21cents a mile and stick you with a trainer driver, who expects you to drive like a pro! Ya right! After being rushed through the school and with a hole lot of luck i passed my drive test at the DMV with only 5 drives with the school. Only one drive was 1 hour long, the rest were 1/2 drives! The school only care about you getting your CDL as quick as possible. Not on what quality of driver you are. There is also allot more to trucking then just driving. They do give a log book class, but that's it. I have learned more about trucking, talking to truckers at truck stops then I ever did with the school or with CRST. Tho I will say from what I hear about other trucking schools, the story is the same, nothing good! Best bet have a trucker you know, family friend, what ever train you, instead of waisting your time and money with ANY trucking school. Also the school trained only with short trailers. When i got into the truck at CRST the trailer was a 53'. The schools need to train on all sizes of trailers and truck with stright 10's 13' and 18 gears so you know more about what you are doing in any truck. Due to the fact, after school the company you may drive for will not have the same truck you learned on. Also, I have learned one thing since CRST codriving, unless your best of buddies or husband and wife FORGET IT! with a total stranger, it dosen't work! I am now moving to MA to be with a cousen who has been driving for almost 20 years. He will finish training me and help me go independent, where you can make real money and not starve to death. Most truckers, that i have talked to, don't have to much good stuff to say about most trucking companies that hire new trucking school students. I do like driving, but, i know it will still be a while before I feel confident and proud to say, I am a professional driver.

Provided by YPmobileAdvanced Truck Driving School is the worst runned business ever. The ratio of instructors to students is insufficient. Some of the instructors are very disrespectful and unprofessional. In addition there is no consistency and there's always miscommunication between the instructors. When practicing on skills the instructors are nowhere to be found and as a result the truck cannot be driven. What is a four week course outlined in a contract will be stretched to six to seven weeks and is not due to the slow development of the student. The schedule that is given in the beginning of the training is not followed in any way. Their equipment is old and always breaking down therefore hindering the development of students. The material that is handed out looks as if a six grader with a computer put it together which is in dier need of proofreading for punctuation and grammar. Needless to say as this school prepares you for a Class A License they will also make you wash their trucks and water down their yard. This school is a ripoff and I do not recommend this business to anyone.
