Calwa Elementary School offers a range of educational programs to more than 650 students in kindergarten through grade seven. Its curriculum includes reading, social studies, math, art, science and English. The school conducts classes in computer science, foreign languages, and fine and performing arts. It administers early reading intervention and extended day tutoring programs, as well as has a school site council. The school encourages parental involvement in children's education. It also maintains a library and media center that features a collection of books and instructional materials. Calwa Elementary School is a part of the Fresno Unified School District, which governs various elementary, middle and high schools.
