Let me tell you... This is that church! That one we all secretly hope exists! I walked in at 10:32 (starts at 10:30) and nothing was really happening. It took 15 minutes to start and people were rolling in 15 after that. It was kind of obvious I was the only white guy and even though this was a huge building we basically met in the basement. The choir sang and we had nothing to look at to even try to sing along. This was a black church and there was a little theater to it.

So what makes this place so good? This almost sounds like the beginning of a horror movie with yours truly trying to survive!....The whole congregation. I was literally introduced and greeted by more than half the people there. so roughly 35 people introducing themselves. I had a pastor come up to me and say he just wanted to pray for me and said he loved my bright smile! Who does that!

I'm not crazy about being there for 2 hours but let me tell you they are family to me, they are what we should strive for in our community. They were oozing love. Minus the theater this was the first place I ever felt the true sense of a community!



If you ever feel down, like no one cares or what you you hope all of humanity could be,swallow the fear dare to venture and spend the time with these amazing people. Like I said I am agnostic and I find much of the Bible to be rhetoric but this was easily one of the most amazing experiences of my life!
