Purchased a set of Bbc aluminum rectangular port heads thru eBay. I live only two hours away, so I asked to pick up in person and the owner stated yes. Upon arriving, I stated I was there to pickup the heads. He acted totally indifferent and angry. Tossed the heads on the counter and walked away. I asked for a receipt and he got angry again and on a piece of paper he finally put “Paid” with the price I had won the auction with. Drove home and took them to the machine shop I have used before with excellent results. After disassembling and checking the heads, found several of the guides were too tight and had improper clearances. Had to pay extra to get them properly assembled with the proper tolerances.
Call Alan and he would not even speak to me.
A couple of days later, he filed a nonpayment claim with eBay, stating I never paid. I contacted eBay and furnished and photo of the receipt and the claim was finally removed. What he was attempting to do , was evade paying the seller fees.
He is a liar, and very poor unprofessional business operator. Do not know how he is still doing business at all.
Please, stay away and save yourself a lot of money, frustration and anger.

Bought engine that was supposed to be hot rod rebuilt high performance . It wasn't . Had to rebuild !!!! Cost me $5000.00 then another 1000.0 to fix it !!!!!!
