Worst Place Ever!

I am usually a very patient person. However, This dentist office is terrible. I took my son her when he was 2 yrs old. Since my insurance required he be seen by general dentistry first then referred to a pediatric dentist. We were seen, Xrays taken along with a promise to refer to a smile care office in Clovis who sees children. When the dentist came in he spoke to us. Looked at my son's front tooth and never had him even open his mouth. We left with a promise to refer. I followed up with inquiries after about a month not hearing from anyone. They kept putting me off and making up wild excuses. After roughly 4 months I finally gave up for a while, but later tried again. Now a yr later they said they did not show any record of our visit or a referral. We went back again. Don't ask me why, but we had another visit seeking a referral. This time they took a better look at his mouth and took more Xrays as they lost the first set. They also cleaned his teeth. They brought tools to clean wrapped in a towel. Nothing was removed from sterile wrappers. I assumed they were sterilized, but my son got very sick a day later. I am very suspicious of those instruments and how clean were they really. To top it off. when it came time for the referral to be sent, they claimed they had no record of us ever being seen there. I lost it and went to my insurance company to speak to them directly. After all they had paid them to do a service. One that SmileCare said never occurred. After sending the insurance co. after them, the insurance company had to make an emergency referral to a different destistry so that after nearly two years my son who was then 4 yrs old could finally been seen by a proper dentist!!! In a final stroke of incompetence when we saw our new pediatric dentist they had no Xrays with our file and the insurance company was not willing to pay for another set. Thus further delaying my son's ability to receive dental care again. Finally our new dentist took pitty on us and took just few Xrays without charge so they could figure out a plan for what was now 4 cavities. I just think SmileCare of Fresno service so awful. I can't figure out who is worse the office workers or the dentist. DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST! IF YOU DO I'M SURE YOU'LL REGRET IT.

I used smile care ortho for my teenager because we used smile cares dental side for our normal care. It took an entire 8 hour day to get the braces on. Every appointment has been 2 to 4 hours later then it is supposed to be. We were even told that we could not be seen because I had a verbal appointment and they claimed that I missed my actual appointment. They changed my daughters day and time of her appointment without calling and confirming it with me so I was not aware she even had one. I was told that she had to be seen every 4 weeks or I would have to pay an additional 75 per occurance but they would give her an appointment that was no less then 6 to 8 weeks apart. I paid for her braces in full only to have her done a year in advance but nothing returned to me. They were supposed to send her file and her retainers to the new office in Texas were we are at now and after 5 weeks of looking and calling not even the coporate office can locate my child's information. She has now been 8 weeks without an appointment and is supposed to be getting her braces off. I do not see that happening any time soon.
