Provided by YP.com—DO NOT GIVE PHONE MEDICS YOUR BUSINESS— -My iPod Touch had a broken screen. I found Phone Medics online and was attracted to their price and the fact that they were (AT THE TIME) advertising their repairs as certified by Apple Inc. -I called and paid $50 for the screen glass that they had on backorder; they said I could expect the part to be in the shop within two weeks. I called 2 weeks later; they had used MY screen on someone ELSE'S iPod Touch because "they really needed it," but they'd reorder mine with the next shipment. I call after ANOTHER 2 weeks, they had no record of me purchasing a screen through them; luckily I had the purchase receipt and they THEN (as I stayed with them on the phone) ordered my screen over the computer and gave me a confirmation number. -So after a MONTH AND A HALF they finally called for me to bring in my iPod for the screen replacement. I sit patiently in the waiting room while they took almost 2 hours to fix my screen because they had decided to take lunch right in the middle of the process rather than seeing it through or just adjusting my appointment to a later time. -The repair work looked fine when they returned it to me. However, I was informed that my volume buttons NO LONGER WORK (they don't know how they did that, or how to fix it) AS WELL as my Wifi no longer being functional (they didn't know how to fix that either. -So then my iPod was no longer working properly because they obviously didn't know how to properly change my screen, I was reassured by their comment of "Well, as least the screen isn't broken anymore! Plus, your iPod is still covered under Applecare Warranty, so you can go down to the Apple Store and have them fix your volume buttons and Wifi free of charge..." -Let's do some math: $50 parts charge + 6 weeks of waiting for service instead of the promised 2 weeks + $50 service charge + waiting through their work break = broken volume buttons + broken wifi + $5 discount for my troubles. -Those aren't even the best part either! On my way home a week later I have my iPod laying on the passenger seat plugged in and I hear a loud "CLICK" come from it as I see a corner of the screen poke up from the metal frame and send a spiderweb of cracks across the screen. I will never in my entire life give or refer business to the Phone Medics ever again.
