Provided by YP.comI wanted to play guitar for years now, and after making excuse after excuse I finally pulled the trigger and signed up for lessons. I had tried to teach myself and failed miserably, so I was a real beginner with no experience, just a few classes I had taken a long time ago.
So, I went into Frisco School of Music, spoke with them and had a tour. It was easy…I told them my goals and they recommended several of their teachers who would be a good match for the styles I wanted. I ended up going with Alex and he is a really great teacher. He is very patient with me … an adult beginner who sometimes does not have time to really practice. I sure wish I did have more time, but the days go so fast and then it is my lesson day again already. Alex teaches and also is in a band and performs so he really knows what he is doing. He showed me some easy ways to get around the guitar, I was making it harder than it is apparently.
The lessons are a good balance between songs and technique and theory - so glad I finally am taking lessons.
The school is always busy but everyone is friendly especially the staff. I would highly recommend it.
I am already playing one of my favorite songs!
We love teaching adults! Congrats and hang in there. Just keep coming to lessons so your teacher can help you (even if you are not happy with the amount of practice you can find time for). Enjoy!

Provided by YP.comMy son's teacher is always smiling, patient, smart and friendly. Skyler looks forward to coming every week and he actually practices during the week with very little prodding. He had his second "Coffee House" performance awhile back and his grandmother was able to watch live over the internet. We could not ask for a better experience.
Exactly what we are going for at FSM. Thanks for trusting in us and our School.

Provided by YP.comKids are learning from real musicians! We looked into several possibilities around town, and decided to go with a neighbor's recommendation, which was for Frisco School of Music. We have two Frisco School of Music teachers for two of our children, one for violin and one for piano, and our teachers are both reliable, energetic and knowledgeable. Both kids look forward to their lessons each week, and when they're not running off to sports or doing homework they actually play their instruments on their own, which I love! These guys are professional, but not stuffy, and know their instruments inside and out. I should also mention all the help the front staff have been. They keep us informed of all the upcoming events and get music books for us so we don't have to. Good work!
Thank You! We have so much fun with music and the arts, and sounds like your children are having fun (and really learning) too!

Provided by YP.comGreat School, Great Teachers, Great Staff.
I wanted to take violin lessons for ever, and finally had the courage to try. I am 43 years old and really like my lessons. My teacher is very patient and helps me step by step. My teacher is great and takes her time. My self conscience has come up to the point where I am looking forward to playing at the next show. I love having the time to have her help me to do better.
So much fun to explore music!

Provided by YP.comMy son begged for drum lessons. He wanted private lessons but we started with the drum class first.
He had some basic skills in the class and it is gong well. The teacher helped him and he likes the group atmosphere.
We had a performance class and he was very proud to show us what he has learned. We are thinking of getting a drum set for him to play at home.
His teacher is a very dedicated person, positive and adapts his teaching style to the student's individual
pace to ensure they remain engaged and challenged.

Provided by YP.comGosh...we had our first class last night and my daughter LOVED the class.
She played her guitar for the first time and she could tell the other kids had been playing for a while and that she could get better if she tried to keep playing.
The teacher was very encouraging and helped her understand the basics. She got two books and was ready to show her Dad all about the assignment when we got home.
I am so happy we decided to try guitar. All good so far.

Provided by YP.comWorst school. they are money hungry. While we were in New york on a emergency, they keep taking money every month and they said that those classes were lost. Worst School ever
There must be some misunderstanding here. In this case, after becoming aware of the situation we refunded the customer to his complete satisfaction. Then last month he contacted us to enroll again at our school!

Provided by YP.comI am taking piano lessons at the Frisco School of Music.
Texas was a very isolated place for me when I moved here from overseas.
Here I meet others of my own age who, through singing and laughter, help me create moments of joy and friendship.
The teachers are all very encouraging and challenging, which I love because you are always learning new skills.
I am very happy and proud to be part of the Frisco School of Music.
