Jeff did a landscape plan for the side yard of my patio home. The plan-- mostly plants and labor-- was estimated at about $5500. I asked him to help get some costs out of it--he said it couldn't be done...wouldn't look nice. I took the plan (prepaid $350 for) and the list of plants and their pricing with me. Two of his recommended plants were more than $400 each--there's several hundred dollars in savings, if he'd just worked with me. I'd also asked for small plants that wouldn't overwhelm the space over time. In researching his recommendations, some of the plants would get 8 - 10 ft tall. I ended up doing a plan myself and having my yard man do the work--less than $2000, including doing some extra work in the front yard. I would never recommend this place.

They have a great selection of plants and know what will grow and how to grow it. They do seem busy sometimes, but always have good suggestions, even if it is directions to a store that carries something they don't have (rain barrels). I have a lot of respect for this nursery and enjoy visiting and shopping there. They carry a lot of native and drought tolerant plants that will come back year after year, making the expense and effort more worthwhile to me.
