Mike Ware is one of the best lawyers in the state of Texas! He has worked on getting falsely accused people out of prison and has been very successful at it. If you need a great lawyer then he is your man. Don't take my word for it, research him on the internet and see what his peers say about him.

Avoid this office! My first warning was how he kept repeating "you couldn't afford me, I don't think you know how much a federal lawyer cost." I told him I had 2k to put down and we could arrange a payment plan. The condition was he would retain the case for my boyfriend, and inform me of why he had a Marshall hold so we could know the charges. When I paid him he did a few calls, then went to visit him. Later he informed him but not me that he was going out of town. What this meant was my boyfriend had no attorney present when he was picked up, and he declined to retain his case but told him to "say that he is his lawyer." And when I asked about the case his reply was, "well somethings we just don't know." Later he said the case was more severe than he thought but that's why he wouldn't be his attorney UNLESS I paid him 25k up front, for a case that he didn't even have any information on! And basically hung up on me after I said no I'm not paying you that, we signed a contract stating otherwise and aside from that he fled town right after I paid him anyway, it's not like he even showed up to the trial. I got a new attorney and he advised me to contact him to tell him I would contact the bar under misconduct and his breach in the contract. I mailed him a letter stating he had ten days to respond to me on the matter or I would contact the bar and I would call his office that day. I left a voicemail and his assistant called me back saying they had a check for me. I show up and the assistant is saying how I "can't use that kind of language here I should have asked him for a refund, then called me illiterate and stated it says no refunds on the contract, yet proceeding to write me a check." She said I shouldn't call his own legal office and talk to his assistant about why he broke the contract and fled town when I asked him. How dare I threaten the bar to investigate misconduct, apparently. So I did not contact the bar as she gave me a full refund (even though I stated he could keep money for his hourly rate as listed in our contract for maybe the 20 minutes of "work" he did and to just subtract it from the retainer) if they had nothing to hide contacting the bar would be of no concern. So avoid this office, him and his "assistant" (apparently you shouldn't contact their office and talk about a problem, so not to sure what her job is actually then...), they will try to take advantage of you in hopes you are to ignorant to stand up for yourself. Stealing money from someone when they are already supporting a household on their own because of a mistake someone else made is already hard enough, he showed some true character. Beware of Michael Ware!
