Coosa Christian School is an independent educational institution that provides a range of learning opportunities for more than 550 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Founded in 1972, it is a ministry of Whites Chapel Baptist Church. The school serves students in Etowah, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Dekalb, St. Clair and Marshall counties in Alabama. Coosa Christian School has a staff of over 30 individuals. It operates elementary, daycare and high schools. The institution s schools also organize basketball, football, baseball and softball tournaments. Coosa Christian School s extracurricular activities include choral and music. Its schools provide classes in fine arts and Bible. The institution is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Coosa Christian School is a member of the Alabama High School Athletic Association.
