Andrew Dubin attended Adelphi University for his bachelor's degree, and earned a master's degree from Toledo University prior to attending medical school at Albany Medical College. Following medical school, he interned at the Albany Medical Center Hospital in the department of internal medicine. He then completed his residency at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), where he served as chief resident.After his post-graduate training, he soon became an assistant professor and program director of the residency training program in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Albany Medical College. He progressed thru associate professor to full professor in 2012. Continuously serving as program director in PM&R at Albany Medical College, he served 1 year as chief of the physical medicine and rehabilitation for the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center from 2016 to 2017. Dr. Dubin then became the interim chairman of the department of PM&R at Albany Medical College prior to joining UF Health.Dr. Dubin is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the National Board of Medical Examiners, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He has been awarded with the VA Innovators Grant for the development of the safety seat ejector prototype and multiple grants for clinical research on the use of botulinum toxic for pain treatment. In 2021 he received the Ernest Johnson Outstanding Educator Award from the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM).
