Casey Beal, MD, completed his medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine, followed by his internship at Presbyterian Hospital and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Beal then completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Children's Medical Center of Dallas and UT Southwestern.Prior to joining the faculty at the UF College of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology, Dr. Beal was an instructor of ophthalmology at UT Southwestern for residents and medical students, and had medical and surgical ophthalmology responsibilities for a wide variety of patient populations at the Children's Medical Center of Dallas, Parkland Memorial Hospital and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center of Dallas.Dr. Beal is a member of several professional associations, including the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Teaching RolesOphthalmology resident educationPediatric resident educationMedical student educationMedical professional burnout and wellness
