I am from out of town visiting from Central New York State with a Chow Mix who lost her eyesight from glaucoma about four months ago. She was in bad need of a groom since the snow was too deep where her normal groomer is. I have experienced groomers that will not even consider grooming a Chow. When I called Doggie Styles they did not even flinch, just scheduled a time convenient for me. Also, since this was the first time she has been groomed since she lost her sight, I knew she would be more nervous than normal. We were greeted by Liz and Lisa and although Shilo, my dog, was very reluctant to get into the truck, Lisa did not back off, and was able to calm her and help get her inside. Once in, she talked to her and let me stay to help put her at ease and lift while she and Liz eased her into the tub. From then on Shilo continued to calm down, sending that Lisa was not going to hurt her, and the bath, blow out and brushing was done without any more problem. The end result was beautiful, a lot of work because it was so overdue, and very reasonably priced in spite of it all..I would recommend this team absolutely! Just the easy way Shilo was treated was worth the price of admission, and in spite of the fact that we are from out of town. I plan on using their boarding service also, since I know how sensitive they all are to the animal's fear and their needs...I recommend them on all counts and will be reviewing again after I have left Shilo for the day very soon..
