Grassroots Nursery is located in the sleepy burb of Windsor just 20 minutes east of Gaiesville's Main Street.  Take the short drive to discover three acres of homegrown plants like  flowering perennials, gingers, shrubs, groundcovers and more.  We grow some very unique, hard to find  species that are easy to adapt to your yard or patio.  The primary focus here though, is providing plant species that are considered by IFAS to be "Florida Friendly".    This designation indicates that a plant species is proven to be very well adapted to all of the growing conditions in North Central Florida, and that although one of these plants may not be truly native, it will perform with similar ease of a native plant.  Many of our plants are butterfly & hummingbird magnets and some noted as well for their drought tolerance.  The nursery is open for retail visitors every day of the week, however it is suggested you call, text or email before taking the short drive so we can  make certain that either my son, Asa, or myself (Bill) will be there to show you around the nursery.
