I am a 21 year old female with a '98 mustang GT. Rear end Cobra conversion kit, having a gas leak issue. Made a stop at this location to get some price quotes on the parts needed for repair. No one on staff knew what a filler neck is, and I had to explain it to them. They were also not aware that this particular year make had a two part tank and filler neck, not a molded one. When they finally understood, they couldnt even find the part I needed. And they were extremely rude to top it all off. Guarenteed I will never go back!

I have had multiple bad experiences with Pep Boys. I went to have my A/C fixed and advised them not to go ahead with repairs unless they were SURE they could fix the problem (with A/C there could be many leaks or problems and fixing just one doesn't always make a difference). They assured me they knew exactly what they were doing, did $300 worth of repairs, which lasted about 2 hours until the refrigerant leaked out. When I went back to complain, they actually told me that 'sometimes in life you just get screwed.' Another time they had told me it would cost $350 to fix a power window, but I went to the dealer for a second opinion, and the dealer said it was simply a $15 gear that had gotten jammed - they also noted that there was no indication the door panel had ever been removed, meaning Pep Boys just gave me a bogus price without ever even checking - PLUS they charged me for the estimate! I know several other people who feel they've been taken advantage of and one ex-employee who (of course this is hearsay only) said they would never take their own car there because they know how bad the service is. Avoid at all costs.
