Provided by YP.comI took my kids for a family night out. The staff were very rude. This place is not kid friendly at all. It took us over 45 minutes just to get a lane to bowl. The Lazer tag was ok but the bowling part was horrible. All three ladies were stuck up and very rude to us. I'll never take my family back to that place.

Provided by YP.comI took my boys there to play a game of laser tag, using a coupon from a fundraiser card I purchased. The coupon reads buy one game of laser tag, get one free. Period. You can only use the card once, which was fine and I was going to purchase an additional game for our 3rd son. I was told it had to be used on the same person only and that although it does not specify that on the coupon it is "house policy". She tried to say that it is the same as going to the movies or a buffet, that the price is not for whoever you bring with you for one price. I explained to her that was common sense and that if you have a coupon it should be honored for as it states on the coupon and not have to drive there to find out "house rules" for using the coupon. I asked if she would honor it and she said "no". I DO NOT call that customer service at all. I asked if $5.00 was worth losing my business and she said, "sorry" (note sarcasm). Obviously, we left and will not go back again. Stars and Strikes is a nicer facility and has better service so that is our new choice for bowling center. I advise you the same.

Provided by YPmobileAs a league bowler myself, for many yrs, the wood lanes are great here. Bowling at oasis they have synthetic and makes my bowling hard. You have an old building but it is home of bowling in Gainesville. Isnt anyones fault there of how the area has come up. Its been there forever. Its always clean when i come and it doesnt smell. They have done a lot of renovating. They will eventually get it all done! As the person above, you obviously irritated someone to the point they don't want to deal with you so let's write a bad review. Everyone knows w the owner you get what you give. The staff has some bad days and really good days. Doesn't everyone?? It's a bowling Center for Christ sake. I have children and I don't care what some chairs in a bar look like. Are you there to sit in the bar or are you there to bowl and have a good time. I recently had a birthday party there and the pricing was right and the staff was wonderful with my children. That's what I care about. And when they added the lasertag that was one more plus to a fun outing. There isn't another two story lasertag anywhere. I'm glad I don't judge a book by its cover. I remember when they had pool tables and there was gambling going on. Pool tables were taken out because of the family atmosphere. Sometimes you have to experience things yourself before you can judge.

Provided by YP.comSo much bad with this place I don't know where to begin.
I've been there 3 times over the last month and it only gets worse. It seems the more money you spend the worse you get treated, from the 'staff' at the front desk all the way down to trying to get a beer from the 'lounge'.
The bowling alley is horribly dated. There is a pro shop, if you could call it that, but the guy who runs it is never there, and no one will help you with anything from the pro shop or anywhere else for that matter
.
The food in the snack bar is sub-par at best, and of course over priced, if you are ever able to get anyone to take your order that is. I ordered 'Mamma's Fries', seeing a picture of them on the menu. Turned out they were out of half the toppings, which they told me after I'd paid and went to pick them up. The amount was nowhere near what was shown in the picture, no refund or discount, or even an 'i'm sorry' was ever offered. Again, felt like I was bothering them.
The bar is half shut down. It looks like they were thinking of a remodel or renovation, but quit soon after it was started. There isn't a bar stool that doesn't have a rip and have stuffing coming out of the cushions. Oh, and they only have beer and wine. If your center is this bad you at least need to have hard alcohol!
I've even had the pleasure * sarcasm* of speaking with the owner. After voicing just one of my many concerns about his center he told me that he would run the bowling alley the way he wants and basically to go to his competitor if I didn't like it.
I unfortunately have a league I have to finish for a friend, but once it is over I will never spend another dime in this horrible excuse for a bowling center, and I would URGE anyone who is looking for a league or even a night out with the family to take the time to go elsewhere. Even the owner will tell you that!

Provided by YP.comI don't understand these other reviews, but my experiences at Gainesville Bowling for me and my family have always been awesome. We go there frequently. They great birthday parties for our kids with the best hosts you could ask for. The bowling lanes are great. I happen to love the fact that they are wood instead of synthetic. That's just me. Their laser tag arena is amazing. We have so much fun playing laser tag. It is two stories and you feel like you have stepped into the jungle when you go into play. I love the food especially their special "Mama Fries". The gameroom isn't huge but every one of the games are the most popular and newest games. They have great prizes for the kids to win from playing games. It is clean, neat, very cheerful and exciting to go into. Oh, and the staff, we have always been treated great. The glow bowling is the best around with an incredible number of lasers and great lights, fog, three huge big screens for videos, web cam views of the bowlers, and the big sporting events are shown when they are on. I have never seen any misbehaving of customers. As far as me and my family are concerned, this is a great, first class place to take the family and have a lot of fun, and that is what we want.
