The Uniform Patrol Division, managed by the Hall County Sheriff s Office, responds to service calls and enforces traffic rules and regulations. It also operates specialized grid patrol, honor guard and SWAT teams. Located in Gainesville, Ga., the division has more than 110 patrol officers. The Uniform Patrol Division has school crossing guards who direct the traffic at congested intersections to allow smooth traffic flow. Its grid patrol team patrols the neighborhood areas to prevent burglaries and thefts. The division s SWAT team is nationally recognized in the areas of tactical repelling, hostage rescue and counter sniper. The Uniform Patrol Division additionally operates a drug prevention program for school children.
