OMG this place is unbelievable! If I could rate it 100 stars I would! I can't say enough about it! The food here is incredible! I had the best ribs there better than any I've eaten in a while. The atmosphere and waitresses were so friendly and very down home. I will definitely go back!

The barbecue at the Ranch House Restaurant, located on Hwy 5 at the Missouri/Arkansas State Line is second to none. The food and the wonderful people who serve me there keep me coming back for more. I can honestly say that it is the best food I have had anywhere in the Twin Lakes region of North Central Arkansas or South-Central Missouri. I have been all over this country of ours, and the best barbecue I have had is right here. The barbecue is from the original Blue Pig Barbecue in Mountain Home, Arkansas, as the owners of the Blue Pig are partners in this establishment. The barbecue is not the only star on the menu... The burgers here are to die for - fresh, Angus beef that is cooked to order. The prime rib is custom rubbed and smoked to perfection, as is the Texas-style beef brisket, which is the best brisket I have had outside of San Antonio... Pure brisket heaven! The bark is dark, rich with flavor, while the meat of the brisket is fork-tender and juicy as can possibly be. Their pulled pork would make any serious Carolina barbecue master yearn for the green hills of home. The smoked half chicken is tasty, juicy, and falls off the bone. What more can you ask for in your barbecue?! They also cater for parties, and do large take-out catering for your events held at home or at your local park.

You cannot beat the prices, either! I took my mother to dinner there last Friday night, and I had the prime rib special, while she had the taco salad dinner. With drinks, the whole tab for both of us was under $35! Just look at that slab of prime rib I took a picture of and posted here! That piece of meat was over an inch think, and weighed approximately 16 oz by my estimation. They said it was their 12 oz cut, but there is no way in heaven or on Earth, that was only 12 ounces. I was only able to eat half, and happily took the rest home... Another thing worth noting is their barbecue-baked beans... They are loaded with flavor and pulled brisket meat... Simply the best beans I have ever eaten and I would kill for the recipe! I have driven to the Ranch House just to get a huge side order of those beans to take home with me to serve with the dinner I cooked at home! They are THAT GOOD! But I digress...

The place is always clean, bright, and comfortable. The atmosphere is homey and inviting. The servers, bartenders, and cooks are all wonderful and friendly, immediately welcoming everyone as soon as you walk in the door as if you were family. They also have free Wi-Fi offered for their guests who like to surf the net while they eat, or are relaxing at the bar!

Food is cooked to order, always fresh, and I have yet to have a single complaint about the quality or quantity of the food served here. I have been coming here as a customer since I moved here in late April of 2012, and they treat me like family every time I come. Destiny, Heather, Sabrina, and Larry are wonderful people - I cannot say enough good things about the staff. There is always something going on here - whether it is the latest sports event on TV, or Friday and Saturday evenings when they have live music from 5 pm to 8 pm for their diners to enjoy and relax to, there is something for everyone.

I would give this restaurant five stars, but that kind of rating I feel is more reserved for the higher-class joints. This place is a five star joint with down-home friendliness, food, and service. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes that kind of atmosphere. This is also a VERY FAMILY-FRIENDLY environment. People at the bar mind their P's and Q's, so you won't have to worry about bringing the little ones along for some great fun and food.
