low quality food over priced also waiter played trivia games promised to comp meal if guessed right which then he stated should have shook on it LOL just bad experience overall LOL l

Been to several Bubba Gumps over the years and loved them, always had great food and service and decent prices. We decided to try the one at Pleasure Pier and is was no pleasure to say the least. It started off bad from the beginning w/the hostess. We asked to sit on the outside deck and she looked at us like we were speaking another language, come to find out she didn't speak english. While I understand this is a tourist area and they may want multi-lingual staff, at least have a hostess that speaks english along with another language. We were really looking forward to this dinner and then our waiter showed up, strike 2, he barely spoke english and was freakin' rude and had NO CLUE as to what was on the menu. We expected the traditional Bubba Gumps waiter trivia act, but that didn't happen either. We ordered an appetizer, the garlic boiled shrimp and our food. Normally, your appitizer comes before your main course, not here. We got our appitizer and 2 out of the 3 dinner's we ordered all at the same time. My dinner came about 20 minutes later after my wife and daughter were done with theirs. The food was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! Not up to the standards of other Bubba Gumps, everything was overcooked. We could have saved alot of money and just went to Long John Silver's and got the same quality food! We ordered coffee after dinner, I think they went to harvest and roast the beans it took so long, when our "waiter" brought it out, it was luke warm and and only half a cup ($2.99 for a freakin' half cup of coffee, really?) This place is an INSULT to the Bubba Gumps brand. This will be a 1 time visit. This was the worst and most expensive Bubba Gumps we have been to, would not be sad to see it close!
