I have been a patient for about a year and a half. They are good about not making you wait long and I love that they have the weight loss clinic.

The staff treats you on a personal level and they give you individual attention. They show true compassion and concern.

The hours are very convenient and the staff is very friendly. They always make me feel comfortable when I'm there.

Five out of five stars. They offer a great range of services.

This is the best clinic in Galveston for fast efficient care giving..I have a severe lower back problem and have had surgery at UTMB,and got marginal relief. The doc at Island Health Center has been able to greatly reduce my pain (thru adjustments, no medicatioms) and I can now go pain free and stand/walk for extended periods of time.I highly recommed Island Health Center They are a responsive,knowledgable friendly and caring group.

I went to Island Health Center for extreme pain in my lower back that ran all the waydown my right leg. I have to be honest I was scared. Im 29 years old and any one I have ever come across with back problems seemed to always have to have some type of surgical procedure. But it was so refreshing to recieve such great service they explained everything that was going on (to where I could understand) and I left there feeling 100x better.I now have a future to plan to prevent me from needing to have surgery, And a plan that I could actually afford seeing that I have no insurance

Love the location...A friend of mine got stung by a stingray and was whisked right in...The doctor was great and my friend was relieved! Thank you!

Very organized and professional office.Didn't have to wait at all for a lab draw, which was great. Nurse and techs were great; it seemed if they had years of experience. Thank you Island Health Center--I will be back :)

The best part about the clinic is the speed with which they see you. No more waiting 3 hours to see the doc like UTMB!

I AM NEW TO THE ISLAND & i HAVE NO DOC YET TODAY WAS MY FIRST VISIT AT THIS CLINIC MY SON HAD A TERRIBLE FEVER THE DOCTOR KNEW IT WAS AN EAR INFECTION AND MADE MY SON FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM, I LOVE THIIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband had been having bad knee problem for 4 months and nothing helped so we looked in yellow pages to find a doctor. and we found Island Health Center and called and got appointment with Dr Antman the same day. We not only got a great treatment at the office, but she gave him a home care program that really has worked! He now has hardly any knee pain. Chiropractic definately helps more than back pain. We will be back!!!

Very unorganized and unprofessional office. Waited nearly an hour for a 30 second blood draw, which was terrible. Nurse or tech, whoever he was, seemed as though he had never drawn blood in his life. He starts off the blood draw using a blood pressure cuff, mentioning that it "shouldn't lead to muscle death" (!!) and had all of his supplies all over the room. Meanwhile, my arm is tingling and turning purple. Once he finally got the blood needed, he took the needle out of my arm without putting any pressure on it-- BLOOD EVERYWHERE. Then he attempted to use about 20 cotton balls (no, I'm not exaggerating) and cupped them over my bleeding arm. You can't do that! If you don't put pressure on the area, it will not coagulate and will bruise badly! I had to move him out of the way and fix the situation myself. I am glad I have medical experience and knew how to handle the situation; I can't imagine a typical person in that situation not being completely traumatized. Thanks but no thanks-- I won't be back.

I went in to be seen by a doctor that could give me a second opinion about my herniated disc in my lower back. I have been seeing a neurologist for a year and after spending $10,000 dollars on medication and physical therapy I still did not get an understanding of my condition or how to approach my continued therapy or care from my over priced neurologist - Just Drugs! What I needed was someone to sit down with me and answer the questions that my specialist, the neurologist, did not. These included alternatives to drug therapy, continued physical therapy options, injections and pain management options other than narcotics. Not only was I treated like a person but my visit was prompt. I was able to give back dialogue that sometimes doctors prevent you from doing. I was given immediate treatment for inflammation, properly prescribed medicine, a fantastic referral that gave me the option to check credentials myself and have them manage the referral by their office, i.e. appointment setup to the Methodist Hospital specialist. And lastly, THEY TREATED ME on the spot and I felt so much better.

My daughter had fever and cold right before Easter weekend.Even though the waiting area seemed crowded we were able to get her treated quickly.Great Nurse Practioner!
