Provided by YP.comI received the gift of a full spa day experience - this was my first visit. My day began with a lot of promise, but ended on a sour note. The massage and facial were great, and the spa portion of the day was very nice. Everyone in the spa was attentive and helpful. Then they dumped me in the salon area, where things went downhill. Someone checked me in, then everyone ignored me. Eventually (35 minutes later) I got a basic manicure and a rather painful pedicure. I was dumped in a waiting area for another 40 minutes before someone gave me a shampoo and blow dry. Then back to the waiting area, where I was supposed to be for "a few minutes" before my makeup session. 45 minutes later I decided I'd rather be at home and left. Not surprisingly, I never received the satisfaction survey they said they would send me.

Provided by YP.comI don't mind paying $60-$80 for a good cut, but at that price, it should be Philip Pelusi /Aveda/Paul Mitchell quality. What I GOT was Mastercuts/Hair Cuttery/Great Clips quality. The only difference was that the stylist does a lot of "hair counseling" before and after. I got the feeling this was some kind of sales tactic- like a good car salesman trying to sell a lemon like a lamborghini. A premium cut should look good brushed in any direction, at any angle, but my cut was bland, uneven, and looked like something that they teach every student in cosmetology school. No talent. It wasn't a bad cut, per se, it just doesn't live up to its hype. It's K mart. I'd be surprised if stylists from this place EVER won any competitions/awards. Next time I pay that price, I'll make sure my stylist has some exceptional credentials.

Provided by YP.comThe expense is well past the quality of service offered. Hair dressers stood around gossiping about each other, clients, employer, etc.. This is from my experienc. One young lady was saying to another, "Did you see that woman..." when the other young lady shhh'ed her and pulled her away from me nodding her head toward me that I am that woman.
Perhaps this is a ploy of R.A. Salon to attract younger clientele and weed out the 'older' ones.
I am one older clientele who will not be returning.

Provided by YP.comWhen you first walk in this place you are amazed how crazy nice it is! However, the prices are too high! My husband used to go there and of course with short hair just need a "trim" and it cost him $32 and that was at least 5 years ago! He stopped going!
I love to go and still do go, however I am in the midst of looking for a place with a little more attention to the individual themselves. Dont get me wrong, once you find the right person and get to know them you will most usually be pleased. But, there has been some cases where I switched around some and as others have told me, you come out of there looking like the person who cut your hair. Another words, if you want short hair you need to find someone with short hair and a style you like before choosing that stylist (same with medium and long hair)!
For the price most tell me they pay for one cut somewhere else and that is just as good if not better, I could have had 2 cuts and highlights for the price Robert Andrew charges! For this reason, Im looking for other places but until I find it I will continue to go there...may even go there "in between" as well(?) who knows but overall Im happy I just do not like the high charges and seems each year they just keep hiking them up. Im sure we are paying for the nice place thats all. My suggestions to them would be to stop hiking prices up each year its really crazy what they charge, secondly it would be nice to see more individualized attention given to the customer and customer only. Again, they usually do for the most part BUT I have seen girls giggling towards older women in the past --usually the girls behind the counter to the left as you walk in the door...so this tells me this place is gearing more towards the younger however pls do not think it is because everyone young, old, women AND men (and kids) go there...I just didnt appreciate seeing the giggles towards two elder women that particular day. For that reason, I decided to not check into their massage area to see what it was like. At the same time, I have turned on alot of teachers into wanting pampering treatments from this salon. Still, I will be continuiing to look for someone who is willing to do 3-Dimensional highlights without turning up their upper lip as if its a sin to ask if they can do it!
