2018 Camp Review, an update to my previous reviews.

The camp attorney writes on-line review on travel site failing to disclose who they are.
Shortly after camp opened, customers were ordered to remove all items from trees immediately or would be fined. Decorations have been hung on trees here for decades, many things are over grown by bark and can not be removed especially by older customers. Months after the deadline, the camp still has many items, at least 50, including signs, lights & even wifi antennas still on the trees.

Two sets of revised rules have been partly distributed, it seemed to depend on if you had facebook, you got one or email you got another. However, the rules shouldn't be a moving goalpost on wheels, customers sign a contract that include plenty of rules! The sentence that says the rules can be changed should be intended for urgent situations or if something unanticipated arises, not for mass changes and there are so many rules, its hard to imagine anything being missed.

Also new for this year, customers are no longer allowed to build or repair cement block sidewalks or patios, despite the seasonal agreement stating the camp will check proposed location for wires & pipes, etc., to ok the work location.

The camp has yet again been sold, this time for about $1.8m, however the manager says she has final authority and won't disclose new owner's name or other information.

Children and adults have been approached and given orders by someone claiming to be security but with no employee shirt or name tag.

Camp unlawfully employees unlicensed security guard.

There were no "seasonal meetings" this year and no staff were introduced.

After an act of very disgusting vandalism,
probably by a disgruntled customer, all public restrooms were closed until someone complained.

Access to dumpsters was reduced from 24 to 3 hours a a day. More recently, dumpster access is about the same as office hours.

Electric continues to have low voltage, some work has started finally.

Customers are directed to use or are prohibited from using property not owned by the camp! Does seem weird...

Customers leave then are "evicted" so they can't visit friends.

Someone was evicted a couple of years ago, now camping & working here.

Customers report they are aggressively confronted for minor or violations they didn't commit, then if they verbally defend themselves or question the false accusation, they are immediately evicted and given almost no time to remove all their belonging and threatened that whatever they can't remove, the camp will keep. There are at least two law suits filed against the camp for these issues. Some people feel like there is favoritism - selective enforcement.

There are improved lighting & lots of new signs, collection bags & waste cans but some people still don't pick up after their dogs.

Camp was Good Sam for a couple months in 2017, no longer.
