wow! what a mess!

I can you tell this is the first BAD review i've ever written. I usually walk away mad but after 15 min. I cool down and say "nevermind, it's not worth my time". However this time i was compelled to tell everyone what i know.

I'm a professional chef and have worked in all kinds of restaurantsall across the U.S. , from burger and fries to fine dining. I've worked most every position in these kitchens most of my life from dishwasher to head chef. I can honestly say i was blown away by the condition of the filthy kitchen. Chef Kenneth Aldin and the owner Jon Porter have clearly lost their drive and ambition. Not to mention their pride. I could not in good conscience serve food out of that kitchen in it's condition. It is (/ was) THE filthiest kitchen i've ever been in. I quit the position after traveling / moving more than 400 miles for the position. I called and reported the problems with the health dept. who called me back 4 weeks later and reassured me things had been cleaned up. I have to wonder how it passed inspection when i worked there??$$$$$. Anyway... the hotel is beautiful... the wait staff are very friendly and nice and the food and beveridge manager does an EXCELLENT job at keeping one of the best wine selections in Ca.. My suggestion....stop by for the night...have a drink in the beautiful bar, and save your $ for another restaurant down the road!
