I own property here that is managed by 2 other companies, so when we needed an extra condo unit for a special family reunion, I turned to GC to rent one in particular that was well located for our needs. I knew the ropes, having rented and interfaced with area realty companies à lot. So when our needs changed and I called to cancel I was shocked to receive absolutely no assistance or courtesy. I had paid à sizeable deposit over the phone, so I never received a receipt or a contract. Bug mistake. Long story short, we never received a penny of à refund, even with 3 months' notice. I appealed to them politely and persistently in person, by phone, and in writing. Nothing except ugliness. Friends in the 2 sister companies were mortified. We were just out $550. Expensive lesson learned. Steer clear of GCR.
