The Boise Bible College began in 1945 as a ministry of the First Church of Christ in Boise, Idaho, as a training school for ministers. In 1974, the college became an independent institution and moved to its current campus. In 1989, the institution received accreditation through the Accrediting Association of Bible Colleges. Since 1990, the institution has expanded programs, improved campus facilities and increased enrollment. The college is nondenominational, but supported mostly by independent Christian churches and Churches of Christ. It has seven full-time faculty, which includes two teaching administrators and eight part-time faculty. In addition to certificate courses, the college also offers degree programs in arts and science.
