The Riverside Hotel is perfect place to relax by their outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, splash pad. There are lots of kids running around during the warm weather months. I met lots of families, couples who come to this hotel from neighboring towns just to use the waterworks here. I booked my room from their web site and It came with a free breakfast with omelets every day. The trolley tour pick up is next door across the street from Joe's Crab Shack. That tour is once a day. Nice! I flew into town and took the Riverside free shuttle from the airport. I wanted to save money on taxis and the rental car. I didn't need one. The Riverside is right on the river with a walking and biking Greenbelt path right there! I walked into town to Idaho Mountain Bike and rented out a heavy duty mountain bike to get a good workout on the 25 mile Greenbelt. I didn't want to look like a total tourist by riding the hotel tourist bikes. I even kept the bike in my room over night. Ohhh the room even had a refrigerator in it. To save more money I bought a 12 pack of beer and some sodas, snacks too from a nearby gas station store! Bus shuttle is nearby from Ann Morrison Park to up river Barber Park for the 6 mile float trip. I rented out a Kayak to get a better workout. I love Boise. Lots of history here! Basque Museum etc etc Best!

Nice hotel

I have worked and stayed at this hotel. It is very nice right by the Boise River with a very nice pool area. Great service. The hotel is very spread out so try to get a room closer to the main building if you dont want to hike to your room. The hotel is technically in Garden City and not Boise. Its close to downtown. You will need a car though. The walk is kind of dangerous due to no sidewalks for part of it.
