It has been over 2 years now but we are about to get our bathroom and everything done because our house is actually falling apart do to the negligence of Kroll constructions installers we have to replace part of her kitchen floor or dining room floor I living room floor our bathroom floor and the hallway floor and when we remove the flooring we have to take care of all the water damage that has been going on for 2 years Ron Kroll is not to be trusted and the salesman Rob he was actually the one to blame salesman or not dishonest plus the manager of some sort named Barb who when I call her to see if they would address this problem she repeated over and over again pay me my money pay me my money she thought it was real funny but if it was her house it would have been a different story I'm sure now under our house and I don't know how long this has been going on but it's quite a while cuz I can see all the water damage in our crawl space this company is not to be trusted as a matter of fact they're going to be on the Hall of Shame

I thought Kroll Construction did good work and was a name I could trust, it was not and I do not. I had a bathroom, two entry doors, and a picture window done over the last month. The doors came out good except that they broke my porch light fixture in the process. The window was decent but it looks like they messed up the top and they left a mess.

The bathroom is where the real problem is. It was nothing more than over-priced, mid-grade to low-grade quality. Less than a week later the sink was wobbling and the backsplash wasn't even sealed so there's probably water leaking in the back. The tiled backsplash they added(which the contractor, Robert U., just raved about) looked horrible from the time they finished and as I was trying to clean it up it started coming loose. A lot of the corner work is shoddy at best, the grout work in the shower is bare in spots and the shower ceiling looks absolutely horrible.

I suspect they knew they were doing poor work because they stated beforehand they did not do any painting and then the lead worker, John, stated they'd do the painting. Big mistake because anything redeeming about this bathroom was ruined by the paint job.

This 8x10 they did is probaby only worth about 1/2 of what they asked and I gave them. I've seen basement bathrooms done for less than 1/2 of what I paid that look better than this. Sure, they said I get 30% off the any future work I have done by them but I am not even sure I want to work with them if this is the quality of work they do for the prices they ask. Not wanting to work with this company again is why I haven't even contacted them and asked them to fix it - I don't even want to see them again. It's really just all the more reason for me to hate this miserable state of Michigan even more and want nothing to do with it... so, thanks for that.

I probably should have said something when they asked what they asked or right when they finished because I did notice all these flaws right when they finished... but I'm sure they all think I'm a stupid idiot so why try and I'm not going to try and disprove a group of people.

Still, I may have to contact them once more via mail or in person with photos of how bad this was for that price.

Kroll also needs to educate the ignorant estimators they have because they are putting cheap, garbage tile in their bathrooms that is an over priced scam they are probably in cahoots with the retailers on.

I'll be lucky to get 10 years out of this worthless damned bathroom they did.

Called them for windows. A li...

Called them for windows. A little pushy sales man showed up at my door with a bad attitude. He made rude comments and gave me a ridiculous price for double hung replacement windows. After about 45 minutes of BSing me, I was able to talk him down about 40%.

Here's the real kicker. He showed me fake warranties and fake prices from other companies. Made up lies about who installs the other company's windows. I didn't know they were fake until I had the other companies come out. In the end I decided not to go with him on that day, and told him I would think about it. I was going to think about it, and was still considering using them until he got upset, took his business card away from me and said "You won't be needing this, you'll never get this price again."

This company lacks integrity, or at least this salesman does. He claimed to be an owner with a law degree, and said that other company's warranties were too hard for him to understand. Wonder what law school he went to. I would never use Kroll construction based on this one experience. My advice to this company, teach your salespeople some integrity and respect.

I ended up getting replacement windows with Wallside for 15% cheaper than the negotiated price from Kroll, and they are casement not double hung. Unlike the fake warranty that was shown to me, their warranty appears solid.

I don't often write reviews, but this guy had me fired up. Worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life.

I would not recommend Kroll to anyone. I m in the process of a large job that was supposed to be done by the first week of June and is still not complete. The work is terrible and it is impossible to deal with Brian as he does not understand the process of the work involved. I have called the office twice and was assured that Ron or Al Kroll would contact me and I have still heard nothing. All I can say is STAY AWAY!

Only reason they get 1 star is because this site has a minimum

Poor Service

I am increasingly displeased with the service of Kroll construction. 3 years ago I needed to have my roof replaced. I knew it was in poor shape. The quote was bait and switch. I was initially quoted in the low 4K range and halfway through the project Kroll more than doubled the price because decking needed to be replaced. It was known the board were in poor condition. The quote should have been more accurate.

Within the first year a single fell off.

Meanwhile at the hall of justice since they have my cell number I get sales calls.

3 years later I found a portion of a single on my front porch. Why I am having another single issue.

I place a service call and I was told it would take at least two weeks for someone to show up at my house. Two weeks pass. No one showed up, but I did get another sales call from Kroll. I called Kroll to inquiry when someone was coming over. The story changed. I was informed there would be a 125 dollar service fee. It is ridiculous. $125 to send someone to my house despite the fact I am 4 miles away from HQ and already I paid them over 8K.

I called Kroll out on their poor service. I told Kroll that two weeks and I have not even received a followup call. I was apologized to, but this does not negate incompetence.

Overall, I am not pleased and regret I did not conduct business with another company.

We had Rachel come out and do a quote for Trim work on our home. She showed up on time did her thing. We agreed to the contract and gave her a deposit for the work. She said she'd get back to us on Tuesday with a schedule and pictures so we can show our HOA. Tuesday comes and goes. Thursday I checked my bank account and low and behold they cashed out check. So I called her. No answer. I called the company three times. No returns. Fourth call I spoke to Tim. Said he'd find out where our folder was and what was going on. He'd call Friday. He calls and says they can't do the job they'll refund our money. I asked why? It wasn't measured right. We could get a new quote Monday or get a refund. We said screw it. Take our money and cash it then say they can't do the job?! What kind of company does that?! I'm sorry to anyone who actually had them do work from the reviews I've seen. I'm glad we had a chance to run while we still could.

Kroll was supposed to gut and remodel our bathroom, contract signed 9-15-15. We had not heard from them in Nov, so I cancelled our financing from them and called to cancel. Rob U, our salesperson finally got on the ball and promised our job would be finished before Christmas. The finished 12-23-2015. But have had to come back 3 times so far, and they still are not done. Ron Kroll got hostile with my husband and told him to shut his mouth! We are still waiting for the shower floor to be totally redone due to puddles and yellowing, proper door and hardware, different vanity, grout around vanity cracking and floor walking into bathroom has several tiles cracked and crooked.

If there was a zero star, that is what they would get. I do not know how this company stays in business and I am writing this review to warn everyone. Years ago, I had a bay window put in the house. It was quite expensive and they did not finish it until dark....by that time, it was difficult to see the workmanship. The next day, I noticed a dent in the vinyl and called them immediately. I was told by the female answering the phone...no problem, they would fix it. Same guys came back and I was told they would fix it but it would cost me. This was a day after it was installed. I even talked to the owner, who was one of the rudest people I've ever dealt with and that's saying something. I told him that I was considering having more windows put in the house. He would not budge and since I couldn't stand the looks of it, ended up paying to have it repaired. AND THEY INSISTED I GIVE THEM CASH....probably because they figured I would stop the check. It wasn't much but was the principle of it that I called as soon as I noticed it. I called back and told the owner I would not use his company again if it was the only construction company in Michigan. He did not care and told me the workers were offended that I insinuated THEY caused the damage. Well, they had a ladder and it looked like a ladder had hit it, in any event, they should have given me the benefit of the doubt after I paid so much and it was the next day that I called. They ended up losing my business FOREVER and I tell everyone to run the other way. One of the worst companies ever and the rudest owner I ever dealt with. They kept calling me years after trying to sell me services and I told them to take my name off their list forever, they'd never get my business. Truly one of the worst experiences dealing with a company. My friend had a similar experience, her windows are all fogged over. NEVER, NEVER use them...seriously.

i recently had a very small kitchen remodeled and I am not at all satisfied with the quality of cabinets that were used. I am very dissatisfied with the granite that was used and feel I was given a counter from a "bad" slab. The salesman somewhat compensated me for my disatisfaction with the granite but I am still very upset with what I am left to live with for a countertop. This was not my first experience with a granite purchase and I am very displeased with the piece I am left with but without removing the backsplash and a disaster to my kitchen I really don't have a choice. I tried to bring this to their attention prior to the installation of the backsplash with no avail.

Very satisfied! I had some ice damming issues on my roof. Kroll came out and gave me a free roof inspection. There was no pressure to buy anything at all. Meanwhile, the Kroll rep notice my windows were damaged. Now, Kroll will be installing my windows within the new few weeks. Great company! Thank you Kroll!

Roofing

I hired Kroll to replace the roof on my house. I was told it would be a one day job. Its been close to two months now and the roof has not passed city inspection. That is after they returned to fix things like exposed nail heads, damaged shingles from there ladders, leaking roof, and wrong color drip edge just to name a few issues.

Kroll is solid

We had Kroll come and remove old windows & install 6 new ones, one being a difficult install that another company didn't want to do. As a first time home buyer I wasn't up to speed on much of anything but Kroll walked us through the entire process and bottom line is we now adore the windows that Kroll installed.

Thank you for a great job. We are really happy we decided to go with Kroll. The products we were offered are a great match for our house and everything that we were promised was delivered. Many of our neighbors have used Kroll and have had a great experience and now we will recommend Kroll whenever we can. We love the new windows, siding, and doors. Everyone from the staff that answered the phone to our sales person (Mickey) and all the crews were knowledgeable and friendly.

My wife and I called Kroll for a new roof. They came over for an appointment and treated me like family. Although they were there to check my roof, the looked at my home as a whole to see if anything else was affecting the insulation. They come to find that we didn't have the proper insulation and included new insulation for a small charge along with the roof. We are very happy we chose Kroll and we would choose them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kroll installed new windows on our house over 5 years ago. The price was extremely competitive and the quality of the work was outstanding! We even received a follow up call months later to make sure we were satisfied. We were very impressed. 5 years later we are still extremely satisfied with the windows. We will continue to use Kroll construction on all of our major home improvements! -Matt Whilby

Used Kroll at prior house for windows. Hired for small bathroom remodel this past year. Workers appear skilled and are very pleasant. They took measures to reduce impact of remodel on rest of house, but no drop barriers which would have been helpful. Small room but still dust in other areas. MAKE sure you coordinate closely with salesperson and really understand what you are getting, because they do not effectively communicate with work crews. Beautiful final job. But after 6 months caulk is cracking and falling out between ceramic wall tiles. Will update review with resolution, when they finally get back to my husband. called last week. They said they'd be out this week. : (
