Honesty is Hard to come by in the HVAC industry. I suggest each consumer do a few things before you hire a tradesman or mechanic. First, always ask to see old parts after new one is put in. Second, ask to see before and after pictures Third, watch, try to see what the technician is doing, ask questions. If they mind you watching they are probably doing something they should not. Forth, Google, if you are told a price that seems high, Google it, especially Freon R-22. Fifth, ask about Warranty. This is the most important thing, more than Brand or SEER (Seasonal Energy Rating), is the Warranty, how long is a company willing to stand behind their workmanship on both parts and labor is exceptionally important. That is about the best advice I can give a customer.
