I switch dentists (and doctors) often since I like to find a place near where I work or near where I live for convenience. I have to tell you, I am sticking to Excel Dental even if I move or find work somewhere else. I have been to other dentists before and I have never been given as thorough as an exam as I did here. In addition to the usual X-Rays and cleaning that one usually gets, I got weighed and my blood pressure monitored by the assistant. I never had these things done before. I was told it was customary to do these things so the dentist can know his patient's health while doing the exam. The dentist also examined my face/jaw structure. This was a first too! I was told that when I open my mouth big, I will hear cracking sounds and I need to be careful not to do that. It will be a problem as I get older and will develop some pain. I guess I've been living with the jaw cracking sounds all my life and didn't noticed the crackling sounds before or even knew that was a problem. No dentist has ever examined me like this, to tell me something like this. The cleaning was great. It didn't feel like I was rushed so the dentist could get to the next patient. I had plenty of time to talk to her. I also got the the whole cleaning and examination from a dentist and not a dental assistant like some other places. To me, since I am paying the same price for the cleaning, I would rather have the dentist clean my teeth since he has a higher education and therefore more knowledgeable in the field of dentistry. Give them a try, you'll stick to them like I am.

I had a really awful experience at this dentist office. I feel like I could have gotten better treatment at a butcher shop. Dr. Kim Bui is an inexperienced dentist with horrible 'bedside manner'. She performed a root canal and crown on a tooth that I had problems with. I stayed in her chair upside down for more than 4 hours because she broke my tooth and put some type of rod in the root of the tooth which never healed. I lost 22 pounds because I was unable to eat solid food for almost 6 weeks. I went back repeatedly for the problem to be fixed and it NEVER was. Each time I complained about the pain and discomfort, I was treated as if I was the problem. Because of the botched job, the tooth got infected because the crown was loose and it damaged the tooth in front and behind. The repair will cost me $2400 out of pocket because my insurance will not pay again for the same tooth. This whole ordeal has left me painfully traumatized financially and physically. I really want my money back.
