Our family loves this place. We have been going since 1992! I am not sure what the negative reviews were about but we have never seen anything unclean about the restaurant. The restaurant is family owned and to my knowledge always has been. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Mexican cuisine.

If you want rude service and ok food - Eat here. Otherwise I would not recommend dinning here. Bojangles, which is right across the street has better service ( nothing against Bojangles) it's just you think fast food chain and you really think poor customer service. I ordered my meal to go inmy order was Horchata, chicken taco and 1 beef taco. The Horchata was overly sweet ( just terrible) and the tacos were ok. I received no napkins no salsa no other kind of sauce to put on the taco and I wasn't asked if I wanted condiments. My suggestion drive 10-15mins north in Chapel Hill and or 10mins north on 147 and eat at one of the mexican places there.

They have been around way before any of the other Mexican restaurants started popping up. To me, they are still the original: consistently good food and service.
