most shops wont start work, untill you have supplied a nice deposit

took 2 cylinder heads and a pair of manifolds up there. after almost 3 months nothing was done on the manifolds and over the last 3 weeks he kept saying it would be just a few more days, just a little bit more. If you go there, call him weekly, as if something comes up like a part needs to be ordered, he will NOT call you. You HAVE to call him. The first two months almost nothing got done because of that. Also get a written quote when you drop the parts off. I didn't, and was charged for a 3 angle valve job that wasn't done. He knocked $30 off the total (the valve job was originally quoted as ~$80) when I confronted him, and played off the discrepancy as how good he said he did something else. I consider my time wasted with Buddy as a mistake, but one I can learn from.

I've heard a lot of good things about their quality. If you go there though give them a week to get to your job started (there are other customers) and then begin calling them either weekly or every couple days. I left my number with instructions to call if he needed anything, and its been over two months and he just ordered the parts last week and started work yesterday. I'll put up another review if he's forgotten any parts. Go to Bob Lane and Sons instead.
