After having the Fajitas there last year on our visit, no other fajitas have been even what I'd consider "good"..... these are by far the best fajitas. everything else was very fresh, no wait, nice seating area. All around great experience. Actually planning to go back in 2 weeks!

This is the place to eat when you visit Gatlinburg! They have a giant window into the kitchen where you can watch the tortillas come out hot and fresh. They are SO good. The food is great. We ordered the steak fajita and wet burrito. We ordered guac and queso for appetizers. The guac is fresh and fantastic. The queso is nothing special, but still tasty. I wish the chips were not so paper thin, they would break in the dips. The food is wonderful. The prices are great. The fajitas were around 17.00. The portions are a little better than most in Gatlinburg. The steak was tender and medium rare as requested. If you can get a table upstairs, it is worth the little extra wait. You will have a challenge finding parking.

Gatlinburg, the South's Redneck Vegas, is not well-known as an oasis of gourmet cuisine. It was therefore with great feelings of "meh" that I entered Loco Burro on the main drag.

I was not disappointed in my expectation of meh-ness.

From the grilled chicken fajitas to the drinks, everything was indeed standard, not-particularly-memorable Mexican. It was not bad; it was just slightly overpriced Mexican food, with no real distinguishing qualities. The only aspect of the meal that struck as me highly memorable were the sizes of the portions. You know you've mastered the art of serving your patrons too much food when you offer an item (the Whole 5-Lb. Chihuahua) which states "Eat this burrito by
yourself within 30 minutes and receive your burrito free and win a t-shirt of your choice!" If I have to prove myself by not vomiting, it's probably too much food.

Sad side note: The mechanical bull was broken. But then again, mechanical bull-riding after a giant meal of meat, cheese, and tortilla is probably not ideal anyway.

We love to stop at the Loco Burro when in town. They have wonderful food, great margaritas and sitting on the rooftop watching the people go by is a favorite past time!

Great Mexican Eatery

Roof top outdoor eatery that attracted my wife and me. Mexican food added to our delight, and the food was GREAT! A definite must!
