Bos Farm Repair was started in 1999 by Kevin Bos. Kevin saw a demand for a tractor repair service in the area and so he closed in an old hog building on his rented farm north of Atkinson, IL and began working on all kinds of farm equipment to help supplement his full time farming income. The service quickly became popular among area farmers. Kevin took on 1 full time employee and 2 part time employees. One of his part time employees was his son, Aaron who is now a full time employee to the business. In 2003, Kevin and his wife Karen were presented with the opportunity to buy 15 acres North of Geneseo on the very farm where Kevin grew up. They decided to accept the offer and began building their new home and business with lots of help from family, friends and neighbors. The house went up first and then the new shop for the business. Everything was finally completed in October of 2004 and the move was made. By November, Kevin had hired his daughter, Amber as full time office manager for the business. Kevin has since then, sacrificed much of his farm ground to give full attention to his busines. In 2009, Bos Farm Repair completed another building addition specifically for working on and servicing combines and for antique tractor restoration projects. When Kevin is not dedicating time to his business, he can still usually be found somewhere around the shop, working on one of his own projects from his collection of antique farm equipment.
