In this sleepy, college, summertime vacation town, we didn't expect to find something shot right out of the big city, but we did. When you walk into the Red Dove, it is obvious you're not going to encounter standard Geneva, New York steaks, hamburgers, and baked potatoes (though we're sure they can do those well, too). From the indirect lighting reflecting off of the silver ceiling, to the menu being written on chaulkboards on the wall, you know there's something different. But don't worry, we were in Geneva for only a short time, and revisited this restaurant as much as we could... you can blindly pick items from the menu, and be wowed every time. Amazing! My wife & I expect this type of thing in larger cities, but there in Geneva? Absolutely terrific! We strongly suggest that even if you're passing within 30+ minutes of Geneva, you make the diversion just to try this place out. Heavy portions, open late, east coast flair, what more could you ask for?! Oh, and the owner is a genuinely friendly individual. You would never guess this is his very first restaurant. Outstanding!
