I would never, ever recommend J & L Exteriors, owned and operated by Jonathan and Lana Mayo. They stole $8,000 from us that was for roofing and window replacement on my 78-year old mother’s home. They are currently being taken to small claims court by us and another family from Grantham, NH. They take the down payment and either they never show up or in our case, they send a sub-contractor to pull the old shingles off the roof and then abandon the job leaving us to immediately find a new contractor to close the roof and finish the job.

Hire these young go-getters! We recently completed major improvements on our home which included a new roof for a large complicated area.We were completely satisfied with our new rof and the workmanship provided by J & L. Starting with John, the owner, who was knowledgeable and helpful during the estimate and decision process. He answered all of our questions and put us at ease about such an expensive undertaking. His product offering was excellent with high quality shingles and warranty. We had four estimates provided for comparison. One estimate was far more expensive and the others were similar, but we feel we got the best in workmanship and that's what counts. John and his cew showed up on time every day and put in a hard day's work. They work as a team and there is no goofing off. The crew was polite and always answered any of our questions. We were never left exposed to rain as they covered their work each night. Each night they cleaned up and disposed of all waste and swept our large driveway area to ensure there were no nails or sharp objects to protect not only us but our dog. We had recently had the house painted and they took pains not to cause any damage to the walls. Because we have a flat area near the entrance, they put in sanding seam metal roofing to aid withh ice dams, etc. They worked this in beautifully with the shingles and it flows evenly to the viewer. John's company offers many other home improvement services. We would definitely hire him again.
