I have been into this store several times to watch as they allow spanish people come in grab something and say one dollar, one dollar and they would let them have it for one dollar. If I ask for 25 cents off of something because I was 25 cents short they refuse.

I am a thrifty person so, not unexpectedly, I spend a lot of time in thrift stores looking for bargains. I've been to all of them in lower Sussex County. The thrift store in Millsboro is very nice and was my favorite until about 4 months ago when I discovered the God's Way thrift store on Rt 113 next to the Donut Connection in Georgetown. That store is great. I have been to other God's Way stores and I don't know whether or not they are franchised, but Georgetown is the nicest. It is very clean, everything seems in its proper place and I don't feel cramped. All of the employees are very helpful but one in particular always seems ready, willing and able to assist me. Her name escapes me at the moment (Doreen, Colleen, Noreen, something like that). She always makes my stop there a pleasant experience. Love it! Love it! Love it!

I am new to this area, recently got here three weeks ago from VA, I came her with nothing more than what i had packed in my car. Was looking for a bed for my daughter to sleep on, and a friend suggested going to God's Way in Georgetown..I did and I to say I was nothing more than pleased with the service I received and Collen and her staff were quick to keep me in mind if something became available.. Not two days later , did Colleen go out of her to call me and tell me a bed came in if i wanted it she would hold it...She also went the extra mile to hold the item for me until i could get it to my new place. I have been back many times now, and purchased a dryer as well

Colleen and Staff, thank you again for your great service you provide to those that need a little help, I am very grateful.

Brittany, to your comment about the vase, and the bathroom, well , one if you don't know a collectible from an every day item, maybe you need to get up to speed with the anitque channel on cable network, so next you will know the difference, and as far as the bathroom experience , REALLY, grow up..You went in looking for a place to pee, go across the street to the Mcdonalds or go home and use your own bathroom. Better yet pee before you leave your house.

And lastly if you truly like the milford Store, than go there and leave the good items in the Georgetown store to those of us that like them and really need and apreciate them and their business..

I'll make it a point not to visit milford..

Kid in a Candy Store

I'm a retiree. Never been in a thrift store. I am not one who dabbles in used items particularly clothing.Occasionally, I will stop at a yard sale looking for something to restore. A couple of weeks ago, I was sitting in the McDonald's parking lot on Rt. 113 in Georgetown when I find myself staring at the God's Way Thrift Store in Georgetown. I thought, what the heck, I have time to burn. So, I went in. I literally couldn't believe my eyes. One entire side of the store was clothing placed neatly on racks. The other was solid and durable goods. Much to my surprise, a large selection of the clothing actually had original store tags. I actually found and purchased several new articles in my size. I have been back several times since. I have my eye on several durables which I am considering for restoration. But, the HIGHLIGHT for me was the two staffwomen at the counter. I am a procrastinator so I had many questions before buying. Each was promptly and happily answered. And, I thought the days of "service with a smile" were dead. NOT. Keep up the good work.

I have been in God's Way thrift store in Georgetown on several occassions and I must say this is the nicest thrift store in the area. This store is so nicely laid out and the prices are very good, I like how they will put a tag on higher priced items showing an ebay price as well as the GW price, These higher priced items may be carnival glass, antiques, true lead crystal, but not limited to just these. The employees are always very nice and eager to help me . I wish all of the other Thrift Stores in the area would take notes on layout and customer service from Georgetown God's way.

I am a 70 year old woman who has shopped in all of God's Way stores, and I love them all. I was amazed how ever to see the review on the georgetown store. I have been shopping in that store for over a year now and have always had a great experience every time i'm there. All the people there are very friendly,There prices are very reasonable ,and they always have some kind of sale going on. I tend to shop on a Monday when it is half price on cloths for seniors, but I find myself stopping in every time I am in the area. There was also a comment on a high price vase, I know for a fact that the store has alot of collectibles, antiques, and vintage pieces. And if you don't know what you are looking at they might seem to be priced high, when in reality they are not . I have purchased severly pieces of carnival glass in the store and was very pleased with what I paid for it. So there for my recomendation is if your in the Georgetown area and looking for a great deal , and friendly people stop and shop at God's Way Thrift Store.

This place was a very bad expe...

This place was a very bad experience. Bought nothing. They were soooo expensive. They had a price of $28 on some blue jar that I got at another thrift store for .50cents! I was stared at the entire time by the girl in the furniture section. She watched my every move and when I picked something up she went over and straightened up everything surrounding it. I didn't even touch the stuff!!! I guess she thought I was gonna try and steal something?!!! I didn't even bring a bag in. I had my cash and card in my pocket.

At the end, I really needed to pee.... I thought that I had saw a man come out of what looked like a bathroom. So, I asked one of the girls that was heading in my directions if they had a bathroom and she said "Yeah, they have the key up front." So I went to front and asked the same woman that watched my every move if I could use their bathroom she said (after staring me up and down again) "We don't have a public bathroom" WHAT?? Seriously? Don't know what her problem was but if they are trying to make people feel intimidated, and unwelcome then they have accomplished their goal. I am not a dirty person whatsoever. My clothes were nice I was showered and my hair was not greasy. Not sure why I was so unfit to use their bathroom. I will never go back to this thrift store ever again. I absolutely LOVE the Milford store. They have reasonable prices and very friendly people there. I suggest if you are in the area and are looking for friendly people and great prices visit the Habitat for Humanity restore on Depot St! I bought 3 things there that day.... I was honestly offended when I left the store.
