The park appears fairly new. ...

The park appears fairly new. The roads are paved, but buckled in places. The owners say it was a result of heavy campers but it looks more like thin asphalt over a really bad surface that simply sank or the weight of some super heavy earth movers. The ruts are far too deep for any camper to make. The lake is good sized, stocked with decent fish but mossy and has somewhat of a slimy bottom. The fish for Easter Weekend seemed to bite OK for the kids despite the sudden cool snap. The public bathrooms are well lit, clean, with security cameras facing down the hallway in each direction with infrared capability as they are co-ed - meaning they share a common hall. The doors to the bath house are lockable, appear to be tight, and are very clean and well heated. The handicapped portions are actually handicapped friendly, but seem to be popular with the non-handicapped people as the T.P. was always gone for the 3 days spent there. Bummer.

The owners aren't really all that friendly to talk to -- but not unpleasant -- but we did get the impression they would rather you didn't bother them at all and are geared more to profit than service.

If you have more than 5 people hey want to stick you for an extra 3 bucks per kid per night -- most campgrounds allow 8 people -- these guys don't .

If you have an end or corner lot expect to not have your truck or other vehicle parked on your lot as they say it causes too much trouble for the the longer trailers to make that swing so you have to park your vehicle where you can't see it - but they aren't responsible if someone breaks into it -- NICE!

Internet is advertised as free but it it doesn't work. Our lot was literally 50 feet from the main building where the internet signal comes from. 3 days of excuses and I don't knows or blaming people who wanted to "hijack" the router to watch Netflix, etc...

Speaking of lots -- there are pull through lots but most are not level and ours was so not level we could not level it up enough to totally get rid of the down hill effect. It isn't they are on a hill side as much as the gravel was never rolled and the heavier units just sort sank into them and mushed the gravel around squeegee like and made them very uneven. A little common sense in construction would have prevented a lot of this.

The lots are pretty small as well and you feel like the next camper is right on you .

They have decent playground for the kids - way at the far end of the campground instead of being center which would have made more sense, but hey, all campgrounds have their quirks.

They do have sewer hookups and water and the electric boxes are lite up with the lot numbers in lights if you come in after dark which makes it easier to find the lot. Only draw back is the roads are all one way and are really confusing.

Would I camp there again? I'd have to think on it for awhile ... Wasn't the worst place I've been, and sure wasn't the best either. It was sort of mid-grade maybe type of place that could potential be a whole lot better if the owners (most the wife) wasn't such a cold acting -itch...
