On 24 MAY 12, I went to Shara'...

On 24 MAY 12, I went to Shara's Paperie, worked with Allison, ordered and paid for 100 invitations that would include a picture and writing in blue ink. On 20 JUN 12, Shara called me stating the printer had a question of whether or not I wanted the picture printed in black and white or in blue. It would cost around $65 extra to have the picture printed in black and white and to have the writing in blue. She advised that printing the picture in blue would not look good and to get the picture printed in black and white so I said do everything in black and white. Shara told me she would apply the money paid for the blue ink would go towards the shipping cost. I asked what shipping cost and she said there was a shipping fee to pay to get them shipped from the printer. I told her they never mentioned a shipping cost and that I was upset that they were now telling me about all these extra costs over a month after I've paid. On 02 JUL 12, I received a call from Shara stating my wedding invitations were in and they were perfect. Once I got home from picking up the invitations, I proceeded to assemble the invitations and saw that the return address had been printed upside down on all of my wedding invitations! I called Shara and informed her and she said she would check my file on Thursday, the 5th, being that the 4th of July was a holiday. Mind you, she called me and told me they were perfect. In addition, wedding invitations are supposed to be sent out 6-8 weeks before the wedding date so that following Saturday, would have been the 7-week marker (wedding date is 8/25/12). I received a phone call from Shara on 05 JUL 12 stating that she apologized, she would get it corrected and my invitations would be ready by 10 JUL 12. I asked if they could be ready sooner, as the invitations would need to arrive to the guests by Saturday, the 14th, and she stated she'd check with the printer and get back with me. She never got back with me. On 10 JUL 12, I called Shara and asked how would I be compensated for this error they made and the delay in receiving my wedding invitations and she said she wouldn't as the invitations were corrected free of charge...as if she were doing me a favor. She was obligated to fix it or give me my money back! On top of that, Shara made the statement that I could have accepted them as they were and received a discount! What kind of business would want their product advertised as being wrong, especially when it was their mistake? In addition, what soon-to-be bride would want invitations that weren't right. On 10 JUL 12, I went to pick up my invitations and Allison greeted me and apologized. I still was not happy with the quality of paper used and not being compensated for their error and delay! Not to mention the extra costs they told me about a month after I'd ordered and paid for them. I paid for the company to do them right the 1st time! Because of the extra costs that were told to me a month later, I technically didn't get what I originally paid for...the letters in blue and the photo in b/w, nor did I get the correct invitations on the 3rd of July. Based on this experience (my 1st), I definitely would not recommend Shara's Paperie to anyone.
