The Woodburn Rural Fire Protection District is responsible for fire suppression, prevention and rescue services. Established in 1901, its fire department provides fire protection services for Woodburn residents. The district has a staff of more than 10 trained and certified firefighters, chiefs and volunteers who offer 24-hour emergency and nonemergency medical services. The Woodburn Rural Fire Protection District operates several fire stations that are equipped with a variety of engines, reserve ladders and pumpers. Its office building is spread over an area of more than 15,000 square feet and features an apparatus bay, kitchen, conference training rooms and sleeping quarters.
