I had my tractor inspected by Bay Tractor earlier this year and it was found that the steering cylinder needed to be repaired/replace. I took it to them after trying to repair it myself. They called several weeks later and stated that a part needed to be replaced and the cost to repair would be around $200. I asked them to go ahead, as this was less than the quoted price ($350) I received during the inspection. Several months later I received a bill for $400 and upon questioning was told the cost of the part was $200 alone and that a new cylinder was about $550 and there was nothing they could do about it. I am feeling a bit mislead. I have an old repaired part when I could have had new part for at least the same cost, if not cheaper.
