Worked at this call center. Wo...

Worked at this call center. Wow! No organization, no training, no management. You are not clear as to where you are working and who the supervisors are because they quit, don't show up, don't know who you are on any given day. Some of the computers are old and systems fail. When this happens, they don't credit you for the time you were actually there, only dock you for the time you weren't producing. When you are hired, it is not clear as to your rate of pay. It doesn't matter anyway, because they find ways to short you on your checks. If you try to ask questions, you are sent from one supervisor to another and back again. You are constantly watched for behavior, dress, and monitored for production although the supervisors contradict all the rules. People are hired when they can pass a typing test (25 wpm) or can add and subtract. Maybe they are trying to figure out if you are smart enough to notice you've shorted on your check again or if you can type a letter to complain. An interview is with whoever is available. If you need money, you get paid the same at the Goodwill. At least they don't scream at their employees. Qualifications: no education, bad hygiene, unprofessional behavior and don't need money.

This place is a scam. I've worked in bad call centers before and this is worse than anything I've seen which is really bad. The person who interviewed me lied about the position. The working conditions are absolutely disgusting. When I was shown the call center before I started training I felt like I needed a shower. Some of the people looked like they hadn't showered in days or washed their clothes in weeks and the dress code was supposed to be professional. I understand the pay is awful but that's no excuse for bad hygiene, have some respect for yourself, why does the company put up with that? After a week in training I couldn't take it anymore. It was like the inmates running the asylum. The trainer let the the worst behaved people get away with everything and got mad at me for having to verify information because people were talking over him or telling him I couldn't learn because people were being disruptive. His response was I could work with him during break, lunch or after class. Hhhhmmm how about you do your job, get rid of the dead wood and teach the people who seriously want a job? The companies who are paying them need to make some surprise visits, Affinitas would lose some business quick.
