There are two hard workers Crystal and Dee anytime I'm looking for something there they're always helpful they stop whatever they're doing at that time and help me they deserve an A+

I love stopping in a dollar tree to pick up odds and ends mostly cleaning supplies, my first visit to this particular store. As usual I browsed through the asles when I couldn't help but over hear an employee being reprimanded by the manager (i assume) the discussion took place inside the office but was loud enough to hear throughout the store. Along the lines of "you are talking to the customers too much, just say hello and how are you today, you're slowing down the line etc." being in customer service myself I was very shocked to hear this, the cashier seemed friendly and talking to customers and having a genuine brief conversation is wonderful. (which is what I observed the cashier to do it was not a drawn out discussion or debate it was friendly chit chat while she rang up the customers items)



Connection to customers is important and benefits everyone, that person is more likely to return again because they felt welcomed.



When I made my way up to the register the other cashier did not greet me, I had to initiate the "hello how are you today" a little interaction goes a long way.



Maybe just a tip, do not scold your good employees for being sociable and enthusiastic.. Maybe even attempt to have other employees follow this behavior, you would have happier customers and employees.
