Did a complete remodel of our kitchen, the job was a nightmare from start to finish. 2 years later we are still dealing with issues and he owes us money. The floor was improperly installed, within a year many tiles were "popping". He sent a tile guy in to replace 19 tiles. The guy then damaged the heated flooring system costing us $600.00 to have a Nuheat Technician in to repair 2 breaks. During the remodel there were things done that had to then be undone, wasting time and resources. i.e.-we were having a bigger window installed, his guy dry-walled above the old window which then needed to be removed. He closed up the ceiling before first installing the vent for the hood-even after we questioned it-then charged us more calling it "after the fact". Throughout the project asked for payments BEFORE the stage of the project was completed-a schedule HE made up. Said he couldn't make payroll. Then was supposed to be "away" for 2 days and didn't come back for more than 2 weeks.
We hired him because we went to the same church and assumed we would not have “issues “with a fellow Christian. Very disappointed.

I emailed Jack from his website about replacing a piece of flashing that had blown off our roof and was flapping in the wind against our house. He returned my call a couple days later. After speaking about the project, he came out the next day, removed the piece of flashing and then told me he would be back later that week to put up a new piece. I thought, wow this is great, very fast service! I was so wrong!! About 6 weeks went by and I hadn't heard from him. It had been raining and cold and very windy, so I let it go. Then, on April 2, I noticed birds going in and out of the space where the flashing needed replacing so I texted Jack asking him to come out and finish the job, I even added in having him do a quote to lay a concrete foundation for a shed we wanted to have delivered, thinking it would sweeten the deal. He replied the next day and said that the would try. I heard nothing, Then I texted him again on April 18th, he said that he would he would be out the next day. I was very happy to hear this. Still no show and no phone call or text. I text him again today, April 27, about dropping off the old piece of flashing so that I can hire someone else and I received no reply. Now I have to find someone to remove the birds and replacing the flashing from the original project. I get that it's a small job, but the guy lives less than 2 miles from me and couldn't find the time to come back out. I'm grateful that I didn't pay him upfront for the work.

Do not use Jack Frey Carpentry. He is a ripoff. He took my money and never completed the job. I have a law suit against him for over $3,500.
