Dishonest, Expensive, Greedy, Bad Repair Work

Two chainsaws brought in for repair in July, took almost two months to repair, close to the price of a new one for the repairs – over $300. Expensive. Received no information on pickup as to what was done. Brought home, both worked when first starting and then both stopped working after one hour of use. Bad repair work.

Called to complain, was told by Dan to bring them in – silly me I assumed that meant they would make good on their poor repair job and quickly repair whatever poor work. Waited one month, no word. Called them and was told, “they’re ready, we called you a while ago.” In this day and age, you just can’t lie anymore about having called someone. Cell phones don’t work that way – they show who called. They never called. Was not surprised, as the vibe of the place is shady - dishonest.

Picked up chainsaws – was charged $70 to get my chainsaws back! Greedy. AND what did they do to one of the saws this time? Adjust the carburetor. I asked her what they had done to that saw the first time, many months ago? You guessed it…adjust the carburetor. Double charging for bad repair work.

At that point I just wanted to get out of there and never be near that awful place again – what could you do when your property is being held hostage? I paid the ransom and got out of there as fast as I could. May I never have to walk through those doors again.

I called later to try to actually speak to someone who knew anything and talked to Dan the manager. He promised to look into it and call me the next day. The next day came and went, guess who never called? If I ever called him to confront him about it, I can guess what he’d say: “Oh, I called you back.” Dishonest.

In summary = no chainsaws for a quarter of a year, $400 less in my pocket, and a bad reminder every time I pass by their storefront. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. It’s a shame a local business would treat people so poorly.
