They are hard working people with a compassion for animals that has far exceeded any expectations I had of a Vetrinarian clinic. Having seen first hand that same deeply moving compassion reach out to the "people" of the animals that are patients at Thunder Basin Vet Clinic- I would never go anywhere else.

Bob F you apparently have no idea which clinic you talked to, as we have had no one call or stop by office regarding any emergency situations today or any day this week.

Scott and Lois have been our veterans for over 30 years. We have trusted 9 animals lives to them over this time. Never have we been treated badly. All of us that know them giggle at the sign at the front desk. Those of you that are making these horrible comments about them are what the sign is there for! People treat you as you treat them. My family and I have recently moved to Arizona. And even 1400 miles away Thunder Basin is still the only vet we us. When I go back to Gillette to visit. I bring my pets with me, so they can get there checkups.

I recently adopted a Puppy who was up to date on all his shots but was closing in on being a year old. so i looked up vets online and this was on of the ones Thunder Basin Veterinary Clinic was one that i seen and thought it was worth checking out. I wanted to see what the facility was like if they were going to be taking care of my animals so i figured i would drive down there and set up an appointment .. When i walked in a man came in gave me the 3rd degree for not calling to make the appointment and then continued to be very rude and started yelling at me. He refused to make an appointment all because i walked in to make it instead of calling. As i proceeded to walk out i told my 13 year old that I was not going to trust them with the care of my dog. as i was walking out, a lady was walking in at the same time and heard what i said. She was very rude and said oh you must have been looking for a free Handout. I could not believe the level of rudeness of these woman and this man ! I have had people be rude to me before but this was over kill.. I can not believe they run there vet like this and have such lack or respect to the people who go to them for services and or help. I then took my dog down to the vet hospital of lakeway and they were excellent. Very friendly and welcomes you with a warm welcome greeting. when i told them the treatment I had at the other place she laughed and asked if it was the powder basin clinic by any chance I told her yes and she responded with .. you are not the first person to come in here and say that .. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN ! THEY ARE RUDE. and a disgrace to potential clients who are looking for help and or services for their pets. If i had any say I would think they are hiding something and there for do not want people walking in to set up appointments.. I am from denver colorado and even there I have never come across people and or services with such a foul additude .. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau!

I called to tnquire about getting my kitten spayed and was given the 3rd degree by Lois. Not just the questions but how they were asked, When I explained that my wife was on the Humane Society board before we moved to Gillette from Fort Morgan Colorado and that the kitten IS current on all her shots and YES they were administered by a vet she became even more rude, acting like she did not believe me and then hung up on me. When I called back she said the cost would be $687.00! I told her no thank you and said I didn't like her attitude anyway. I don't know if she heard me because she hung up on me again!

I called inquiring about any job hirings in the future and the woman was completely rude. She treated me like I was stupid and soon following, before she hung up on me, called me lazy because I couldn't come in right that second to get an application. Before this, I was going to take me dog in for an ear infection but after seeing how she treats people, I wouldn't want her near my pets

Thunder Basin Vet Clinic is a great place to take your furry friends.Both Scott and Lois care about my dog and they will take the best care of yours.Thunder Basin has been my vet clinic for over 20 years, I would recomend Thunder Basin vet clinic to anyone

I have NEVER had a bad experince with Scott or Lois. They have always treated us with kindness and respect !!!! They have always gone above and beyond in caring for our animals. My 2 labs ARE to HEAVY, and yes they have brought it to our attention, but that is because they CARE about their health. Its NOT their fault my dogs are FAT, its ours. So yes, I expect them to educate us on making us more aware of the hazards of raising heavy animals, after all I want them to be around for a long time too. I would HIGHLY recomend them to anyone who has pets!!!! Thanks Scott and Lois, YOU ROCK !!!!!!!

So scary!!! The receptionist and vet were both standing there scowling the entire time I was trying to make an appointment to get my cat neutered, and then said they had to wait four weeks in between shots and neutering! Dark and unfriendly. I'll take the higher cost of the Animal hospital on Lakeway if I don't have to hand over my cat to them! Scary. Seriously.

I have dealt with both small animal vet clinics here in Gillette, and Thunder Basin is by far the best, with lower prices, and better service. Both Lois (receptionist & Vets wife) and Scott(Vet) care strongly about animals ( they have taken care of my cats, a dog, and a horse before Scott stopped doing horses due to health concerns) and the care they are given is far superior to the other small animal veterinary clinic in Gillette. I have never had a bad experience with Scott or Lois, nor have I heard of such an event. I will continue to use their Veterinary Services, I would also recommend them to anybody looking for small animal veterinary services.

Worst service I have ever experienced. Several complaints about the office help dating back, yet there she is, still answering phones. Ive never had such aweful service in my life. She was rude, cruel, loud, and obnoxious.



I was worried, and scared for my cat, but she made me feel like I was the worst pet owner, ever. I love my animals, they are like furry kids to me.



After taking a verbal beating from her, she asked if id like to make an appt. I told her I needed to talk to my husband to pick a time that worked to transport kitty (he has a business meeting this afternoon). When I said that she rudely hung up on me. With a SLAM, as if i was lying, and not worthy of a second more of her time!



I did talk to my husband, just as I told her I would, and within a few minutes after talking to her I made an appt for my kitty with the OTHER local vet.



Not just for the kitty with the problem, but all 3 of my kitties for check up and shots. She had listed off atleast a half a dozen shots that cats needed every year, and yelled at me that it was the LAW! well i found out only one shot is required per year. huh. perhaps they like to scalp clients as well.



I will NEVER take my cats to this vet! Ill travel to sheridan, buffalo, or however far I need to travel, if the other vet is unavailable.



In short, If the vet wont fix the office staff, how awerful, and inconsiderate is the vet? they must approve of such behavior, because I am not the first to complain.



Be certain that I have already left a bad review on my FB page, and discovered I was not alone in being treated poorly. The vet must not need business that they can afford to be rude to callers (perhaps overcharging animal lovers for shots that are not required). Ive never had a customer service person make me cry, or upset me, as did this woman.



If you love your pets, if you expect to be treated nicely, and with respect when your paying hard earned money, and especially when it comes to the care of your furry loved ones, I woud not recommend this vet.



Anyone who would staff that woman cannot have an ounce of decency. I will make sure to spread my experience past my FB page to other outlets, and word of mouth. Aweful experience!!!!
